Great Beginnings Hammond Park
About the Business
Welcome to Great Beginnings Hammond Park, the perfect place for great beginnings to start! Located in Hammond Park, on Barfield Road, our purpose-built child care and early education centre is conveniently situated for families in nearby suburbs such as Aubin Grove, Success, and Wandi. With a train station nearby and easy access to a major freeway into the city, our location makes it convenient for parents who are commuting.
At Great Beginnings Hammond Park, we provide child care services from 6:30am to 6:30pm, catering to children aged 6 weeks to 6 years. As you step into our centre, you will enter a world where children are encouraged to explore, learn, and grow. Our spacious outdoor area features a vegetable garden, slide, and other exciting equipment that engage all the senses. Here, children have the freedom to play and explore, testing their limits and developing strength, balance, and self-confidence.
Inside our centre, our indoor spaces are designed to invite exploration with quality resources and learning experiences. Children have the opportunity to wonder, create, and experiment as they engage with a range of materials in purposeful play spaces. Our experienced educators plan play-based learning experiences around children's interests and learning goals, embedding literacy and numeracy concepts within the activities. Children become architects, storytellers, scientists, artists, and designers as they engage in these enriching experiences.
We understand the importance of nutrition, which is why our in-house chef prepares nutritious meals daily, catering to all dietary requirements. This means you don't have to worry about packing lunch and snacks for your child in the morning, giving you more time to spend with your family. Shared mealtimes between children and educators also strengthen relationships and provide opportunities to share stories and experiences while modeling healthy eating practices.
At Great Beginnings Hammond Park, your child will have access to specialized programs such as yoga, dance, and sport, which further develop their fundamental skills. We also have a strong focus on sustainability, teaching children to care for the environment. As part of our sustainability program, we have "adopted a spot" at a local park, regularly taking our preschool-aged children to remove rubbish from the area, using gloves and tongs.
Our dedicated Family Support Team is here to assist you with your child care needs. Feel free to call them on 1800 517 086 to book a tour of our centre, meet our team of educators, and learn more about the importance of these first five years in your child's development.
These are just some of the highlights included in your child's early childhood education and care experience at Great Beginnings Hammond Park. Every day is a different adventure at our centre, and our team is committed to providing an unparalleled early childhood education and care experience for your child. Our educators are trained, qualified, and passionate about the first five years of learning and the positive impact it will have on your child's future. Our learning programs are based on modern educational research and practices outlined by the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
We offer a range of pricing options, and you may be eligible for the Child Care Subsidy. To calculate your estimated subsidy, you can use our subsidy calculator. We also provide 9-hour, 10-hour, and full-day options at our centre, which can help optimize your child care subsidy.

"When I expressed my concerns to the staff as I my child was going to the child care first time, she was questioning my concerns. Also she was rushing!"
"My daughters been attending for a few months now and I couldn't be happier with the centre. Miss Teagen and Miss Renae have become fast favourites of Charlotte. Getting daily updates of her activity made it alot easier leaving her there while we worked. Can't recommend highly enough."
"Great Beginnings Hammond Park is such a beautiful place for young minds to grow and be nurtured. The thought and care that is put into each activity, room set-up and meals are exceptional! I feel so blessed to have the opportunity to have my daughter be looked after by these wonderful educators. Thank you all for giving this mama peace of mind everyday as I head off to work knowing my daughter is in the capable and caring hands of her much loved educators."
"My grandson attends and loves it! The pics i get are so cool. We attended the Christmas gathering today. It was amazing. The food was delicious and abundant. Fruit, snags, fairy bread. Ice cold water. Wildlife and Alijah had a great time. So did I, the nana. Thankyou so much for that. X"
"My daughter has been going here for a month and I must say we were rather anxious about putting her in daycare but the transition has been so great and that is due to the great staff in junior toddlers. The reports provided are thorough, the areas are always very clean and the food provided is wonderful (my child eats things at daycare she refuses to eat at home). As an Occupational Therapy mother i hugely appreciate all the learning they are providing my daughter in terms of sensory as well."
