Our clinical psychologist, Scott, is registered with the Psychology Board of Australia and has almost 20 years of experience working in the Northern Territory. Scott specializes in helping individuals and couples with a wide range of concerns that impact their psychological wellbeing and interpersonal functioning.

While we cater to the mental illness paradigm, Scott prefers a non-pathologizing approach to clinical practice. He values the therapeutic relationship and is dedicated to understanding each client's unique experience and tailoring therapy to meet their specific needs. Scott's practice is trauma-informed and draws from various therapy approaches such as Schema Therapy, Relational Psychotherapy, and Transformational Chair-Work.

In addition to therapy, Scott is also an approved supervisor for individuals pursuing their psychologist registration pathway. He provides supervision for students undertaking clinical placements and professionals seeking ongoing support or guidance. Supervision can be accessed face-to-face or via video-conferencing, depending on your location and preferences.

If you plan to utilize the Medicare scheme, please obtain a GP referral and mental health care plan prior to your first appointment. The recommended fee for a 50-60 minute psychology session in Australia is $251, but Scott will discuss fees and affordability with you before your first appointment. Session fees can be paid at the time of your appointment through EFTPOS, credit card, EFT, or cash.

We kindly request that you give at least 24 hours notice if you are unable to attend a scheduled appointment. Failure to do so will result in the standard appointment fee, and further appointments will not be booked until this fee is paid.

If you have been referred for psychology services with a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP, you can claim a rebate of $126.50 per session (up to 10 sessions per calendar year) by taking your receipt to Medicare. Additionally, many private health funds offer rebates for clinical psychology services, so please check directly with your provider for more information.

We understand that face-to-face therapy may not always be possible due to various circumstances such as living remotely, transportation issues, family constraints, health concerns, or current illness. That's why we offer telehealth services with Scott. Sessions are typically conducted via Skype, Zoom, or telephone, depending on your preference.
