Welcome to Freckles Kindy and Learning Centre in Highfields, Australia! As a family owned and operated institution, we pride ourselves on providing a holistic approach to early learning. With our deep roots in the Toowoomba and Highfields communities, we have a local approach to understanding the needs of our families and their little Freckles.

Our dedicated educators are committed to providing quality care and learning programs that are play based and tailored to each individual child, following the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards. Our purpose-built centre offers top-notch indoor and outdoor facilities, ensuring that children have the best possible early learning environment to grow and develop in a nurturing and caring space.

At Freckles Kindy and Learning Centre, we believe in creating a co-learning environment where children feel safe to explore their curiosity and develop the confidence for lifelong success. In addition to our core curriculum, we offer various extra-curricular activities, including a sporting program and a music and movement program, to provide your child with a wide range of opportunities.

Located in the heart of Highfields, close to local schools and shopping centres, our centre offers convenience for our busy families. We welcome all families to visit our facility, meet our wonderful educators, and take a tour of our homely environment. Our open-door policy fosters robust family partnerships and a supportive community.

Convenience is key for our families, which is why we are open from 6.30am to 6.30pm, Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays), allowing working parents to easily make the trip to Highfields after a busy day.

To ensure your child is prepared for their day at Freckles, please provide them with a spare change of clothing, a sunhat, and a water bottle. We supply all meals, nappies, and sunscreen. For families with infants, please bring bottles and formula/breast milk, and feel free to bring along any comfort items your child may need, such as pacifiers, blankets, or soft toys.

We take pride in our nutritious and delicious meals, and here are some examples of our daily menu:

- 11:00am – 11:30am Lunch: Pumpkin, Sweet Potato, white bean soup with wholemeal roll

- 2:00pm – 2:30pm Afternoon Tea: Anzac Biscuits

- 11:00am – 11:30am Lunch: Beef, mushroom and eggplant pasta bake

- 2:00pm – 2:30pm Afternoon Tea: Apple and Cinnamon cake

- 11:00am – 11:30am Lunch: Falafel with Pita / Yoghurt

- 11:00am – 11:30am Lunch: Italian beef meatballs in creamy tomato sauce with Pasta

- 2:00pm – 2:30pm Afternoon Tea: Banana, Apple and Pineapple muffins

Please note that we cater to all allergies, and we also provide meat and vegetable-based fresh purees, as well as fruit-based purees, for our little ones in the nursery.

Our amazing staff truly care for the children and many have extensive experience in the field. Kirsty, our director, is a warm and welcoming lady who gives everyone the time of day.

As experienced travelers, we have had our child in several childcare facilities, but Freckles is by far the best we have experienced. Don't just take our word for it, come and see for yourself!
