"Colgraves are good for small services and basic work but that's it about it. I took my vehicle in for a diagnosis and they told me I needed a timing chain replaced. They then charged me 3.2k, which I have been told since is over price for a timing chain and I took the vehicle home. However it did not run right on the way home from the shop so I returned it. they then tried to tell me even though they were the last ones to touch the car it was not their fault, it was a separate issue and if I wanted it fixed I would need to shill out another 2-2.5k, and the engine would need to come out. Again, I have been told by other mechanics the job in question is more around a 500-700 dollar job and the engine doesn't need to come out. Basically they offered me no alternative, not recommending an engine swap which would have been far cheaper and didn't seem to care they took hard earned money from someone who was a regular loyal customer, returned a vehicle that didn't work properly, and that they took no responsibility for. I have heard so many similar stories about them but didnt want to believe. They are fine with basic mechanic work, but if it's a big job you are far better saving your time and money on another mechanic"

"The mechanics were very nice and friendly however after spending multiple thousands fixing the car, I expect them to not miss easy to spot things such as a missing coolant overflow tank - after going back to them to get something else fixed which they said they did, they basically ignored the problem. Good enough mechanics for general servicing or if you know what you want done but very ordinary to not be able to pick up on such a simple thing."
