Reviews of McGregor College
"A resident made numerous racist comments against me in front of me and my friends for more than half year, Imade an informal complaint and everyone I talked to only wanted to ‘deescalate’ the situation, one member from the safe community told me the matter is not serious enough to talk to the Dean of students unless I made a formal complaint, and after I made a formal complaint they told me it’s out of their hands now, while formal complaints take 20 business days. This could be a criminal case and no one took it seriously. When that resident broke the condition of residence 7.4 discrimination and harassment and 7.5 behaviour they refused to expel the resident after talking to 9 witnesses, but when I requested the last name of some witnesses for the formal complaint they didn’t tell me according to the privacy policy. They said there are 150 people in the waitlist, and if that kind of behaviour doesn’t cross the line I’m wondering where that line is. This is not over and I’ll update the comment later."
"I stayed here for 2 weeks during my first semester at Uni in 1995. Omg,looking at these pics bring backs so many memories. I loved it here! I miss USQ, I miss Australia so much!"
"McGregor college is a great home environment for students away from home. Self-catered rooms are very modern with access to new, fully contained kitchens. College has a lot of opportunities to offer, to help residents studies, and provide a great social life."
"This is a great college with excellent facilities, hard working staff, and has the academic, social, and personal wellbeing of residents in mind! Would definitely recommend this college to anyone wanting to stay on-campus for their first year of university at USQ!"
"I have been in this college three times (each time for two weeks stay during residential school) and I must say it is very quiet and clean. Beds are not that comfy though. You will hear a lot of spring noises at night. Same goes with AirCon system. Foods are awesome. They have recently implemented the WiFi for residents which is fantastic. Overall I liked it for my short stays at Toowoomba."
