Welcome to Darwin Solar Cinema, a sustainable cinema experience located in Millner, Rapid Creek Road. As an establishment, movie theater, and point of interest, we offer outdoor movie screenings, presentations, parties, sports events, and community gatherings. Our goal is to raise awareness about sustainable energy, energy efficiency, and the search for new sources of renewable energy.

Our cinema is equipped with top-of-the-line technology, including a large rear projection movie screen measuring 12" x 9", a Hitachi 5000 lumens projector, 2 x JBL PRX600 speakers with 1000 watts each, a 13" Macbook Pro, DVD player, 8 Channel mixing desk, Shure 58 Microphone and stand, 2 x LED par can spot lights with tripod stands, and a table with black cloth. Additionally, we provide a 2.5 kva Yamaha silent generator for backup power.

Our standard equipment package is priced at $600 per night, with additional charges for remote travel. Darwin Solar Cinema is a locally owned business managed by Colin Carthew, who is passionate about recycling, reducing waste, and utilizing renewable energy. Colin even runs three vehicles on different ratios of used veggie oil, including a 22-seater charter bus that serves schools and clubs in Darwin.

We pride ourselves on being environmentally conscious and have full Public Liability Insurance with TIO Darwin. However, please note that while we provide all the necessary equipment, we are not responsible for organizing the licensing or royalties of screened movies.
