Reviews of The Bottle-O
"Horrible experience - Dined in last night , which was suppose to be a celebration for our family. Very disappointed. 1. Ordered a roast of the day. From the first vege/carrot, I could not even put a fork into it. The broccoli was still so cold in the middle, it seemed half frozen. The only thing I could eat was the meat. 2. Two chicken Caesar salads were the worst we have ever had. Both eaters sat looking at each other saying, “this doesn’t even taste like a caesar they’ve used some sort i different sauce/dressing. We should have sent the three meals back, but it was a birthday and we didn’t want to totally ruin our night. Disgusted that these meals could be served. (Only positive, the young lady behind the bar was pleasant taking our orders considering she was under the pump. Needed more staff !!!"
"We've given this place two chances and overall we've had two abysmal experiences. On both occasions the meals we've had were atrocious and honestly the worst pub food we've ever eaten in Toowoomba. The Fisherman's basket consisted of a tiny piece of store bought fish covered in an underdone and doughy batter, the calamari and fish bites were overcooked and the chips were almost completely cold. The concept of the chicken schnitzel also seems to be lost on whoever is doing the cooking in the Stock Exchange kitchen. Instead of being thin with golden breadcrumbs, it was very thick and so overcooked I was worried about breaking a tooth on the hard, burnt breadcrumbs. Yes, they were THAT hard. The chips, again, were barely even warm. In hindsight, we really should have sent both meals back. I'm afraid the new Stock Exchange is all looks and no substance. When there are so many other (better) places to eat at in Toowoomba we definitely won't be setting foot back in this establishment ever again."
"By far the worst bar staff I have come across. The bar maid was lazy, rude and openly whinged that we were a walk in with out a booking. Everything seemed to hard for this particular lady so instead of dinner we had one drink and left. Renovations look great, nice pub but this doesn’t make up for the rude staff that are poor at they’re job."
"Lou was friendly and very knowledgeable, picked up a couple of good bottles of wine. Great service, well done!"
"Called in for a quick lunch. Undergoing renovations at the front but out the back this establishment was such a pleasant surprise. Great atmosphere, tasty food and really good service. Will be going back."
