"I’m writing to this review because I’m very disappointed in the outcome of asking for a refund. I used to train at the shift about two years. I moved away and recently came back to Townsville because my sister passed away. I messaged Maxinne (the owner) and informed her I’ve been struggling mentally, physically and emotionally about the loss my sister. I informed her I wanted to join but was very unsure how I would go while training as I haven’t been able to eat or sleep very well. But thought it might be good for my mental health. She replied saying that they’re here to support me and she’s happy to have me back. I went to one session and was feeling quite overwhelmed and sick during the class. I left the class and wrote to her asking her for a refund for the month pass ($200) as I don’t think I’m able to physically do it. I said I was more than happy to pay for the class I attended. She responded with “we don’t do refunds, try a class that’s easier, or you can put it on hold” I’m only here for a short time to support my mum through this really emotional period , so I cannot simply put it on hold. I find this extremely disappointing. This is very special circumstances and the lack of empathy is very disturbing. I will not recommend the shift to anyone because Maxine clearly does not care for her clients."
"Where do I begin…. Incredible amount of knowledge in so many areas of health, fitness, nutrition and wellbeing. I have done nutrition coaching at different stages in my life and always received so much guidance and support. I also go to the Sweat Studio gym and it is my safe space. Such an incredible place filled with like minded women. The best coaches, offering a great variety of sessions. It has been the best thing for my strength and fitness but the positive impact it has on my mental health is where the magic truly is. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!"
