About the Business
Welcome to Griffin Park, a captivating establishment located at Bentley Park, Fitzmaurice Drive, Australia. As a park and point of interest, Griffin Park offers an array of enriching experiences that will immerse you in a kaleidoscope of culture, arts, music, comedy, visual arts, and family events. From Friday 25 August to Sunday 3 September, prepare to be captivated by a diverse range of activities that will leave you inspired.
One of the highlights at Griffin Park is our Dog Adoption Day, taking place on Saturday 2 September at the Aeroglen Dog Park. This event provides an opportunity for you to find a new furry friend and give them a forever home. Join us in supporting this noble cause and make a positive impact on the lives of these loving animals.
If you're interested in sustainable living and reducing waste, don't miss the Trash to Treasure Fair happening on the same day, Saturday 2 September 2023, from 9am to 1pm at the Buy Back Shop in Portsmith. Discover hidden treasures, upcycle unique items, and contribute to a more environmentally conscious community.
While we regret to inform you that the Cairns Festival Grand Parade will not be rescheduled this year, we are constantly striving to provide you with exceptional events and experiences. In this spirit, we are considering naming the pavilion in Norman Park, Gordonvale, in honor of the late Stan Marsh. This dedication is a testament to the contributions and legacy of an individual who has left an indelible mark on our community.
At Griffin Park, we also take pride in our commitment to environmental sustainability. During the recent Clean Up Cairns initiative, we collected approximately 10,350 cigarette butts from three city streets. This event serves as a reminder of the importance of maintaining a clean and healthy environment for the benefit of all.
As a responsible institution, we acknowledge and pay our respects to the Traditional Custodians of our region, including the Djabugay, Yirrganydji, Buluwai, Gimuy Walubara Yidinji, Mandingalbay Yidinji, Gunggandji, Dulabed and Malanbara Yidinji, Bundabarra and Wadjanbarra Yidinji, Wanyurr Majay, Mamu, and NgadjonJii peoples. We extend this respect to all elders, past, present, and future, as well as other First Peoples within our region.

Reviews
"This park is in good condition. It is a quite large green space with pathways, a number of access points and basketball facilities. There is car parking at the front of the park entry. There is heaps of space to kick a ball."
"Pulled up to eat in way to an appointment, didn't get a great vibe so sat in the car. The bins stank and could do with a clean. Considering its Cairns, they get hot and feral, they need to be regularly cleaned.... didn't look like there was much to this 'park', very baron, one cluster of trees. Wouldn't seek it out to go back."
"I love this place. Actually love doesn't even begin to describe this place, so many important events in my life have happened here. In my opinion, this place is the best park in the world."
"Great place i once heard that the great robin of the giffin family came here by sea and worked the land and they made this park land in memory of the sacrifice he made dealing with the likes of sensitive weeds and drownings of his friends."
"Death and destruction masquerading as a family park. Brings only lacerations and drownings. I do not recommend."
