Our mission is to ensure that all children are appropriately restrained in motor vehicles, in accordance with the national car restraint laws that have been in effect since November 2009 (please note that laws may vary by state). These laws require children to be restrained in suitable approved child restraints from birth up to the age of seven.

We also address the issue of children sitting in the front seat of a vehicle. According to the law, children up to four years of age must be restrained in the rear of the vehicle if it has two or more rows of seats. Children aged between four and seven years are not permitted to sit in the front seat unless all other seating positions are already occupied by children under seven. These laws have been put in place to reduce the risk of injury caused by the use of unsuitable restraints for a child's size.

At Baby Restraint Fitters, we offer an opportunity for families who may be unaware of the current and future requirements regarding child restraints to understand the new laws. We take pride in the fact that our franchisees undergo authorized training that is accredited by Australian Safety and Engineering Training in collaboration with Mobility Engineering. This training, listed as 69800 – Course in Selection and Installation of Child Restraints, is the same training conducted for RTA fitting stations. We believe that our organization offers an equal level of service to that of the RTA network.
