"If I could give a minus I would. I do not bank with them thankfully, but went there with my wife, who does. It is too hard to change banks, especially if you have direct debits etc. One teller and a queue out the door and around the corner. We were asked to give my wife's mobile number and got a call 2 hours later. The creature who controls the queue not only does not have the slightest idea about customer service but discusses people's business so that everyone in the queue can hear it. So much for privacy and confidentiality! I am convinced that this bank's policy towards customers, is to force them to only do online banking, so they can close all the branches and sack all the staff. The Commonwealth Bank was originally set up as a 'people's bank'. They have become the furthest away from this that is possible!!"
"Commonwealth bank closed a branch at Mt Sheridan and all people from southern part of town have to go to the Earlville branch where staff doesn't know what a customer service suppose to look like. They just do nothing there!! I was asked to wait on the couch and I waited and waited until I couldn't wait any longer and left. If you can do whatever you need to do online, just do it! Don't waste your time going to the Earlville branch"
"Unfortunately terrible experience trying to open another account. Phone calls never answered or replied to. During first visit I was told that 45 minutes before bank closes I can’t open bank account because it’s too late, but 2 employees could start the process for me at that time. After setting up appointment for next day, upon arrival I was told that there is no appointment in the system and I have to wait 30-40 minutes for my turn or leave if I don’t want to wait. Asked for manager and quite rudely got told that it was the lady telling me to leave a manager on duty. Very very very bad experience overall….I’d rather change bank than deal with such a poor customer service in the future. Commonwealth should pick up their game……"
"It's not the staff's fault, it's systemic throughout CBA and other banks but they've got 2 telling stations at this very busy branch. I don't have to go into the bank much but when I do, there's always at least 20 people in line, out the door waiting for a teller. The support staff do what they can, but with only 2 telling stations available they don't even have the ability to open another one during peak times. Disgusting from CBA - it's akin to supermarkets only opening one register to force everyone to pack their own bags. If I wasn't sure it's the same at every bank, I'd change."
"We went there yesterday their front staff were very busy. The lady who supervised the customer service area was really good. I was a loan officer in my previous life, so I had many questions on our home loan that cba staff couldnt figure out on the phone before. But the lady at the branch explained everything clearly. She is really smart, knows cba system very well and that really impressed me."
