"Great views and a good picnic table if you want to draw or paint some beautiful scenery"
"Lovely tranquil place to visit and refresh your spirit. There is steps into Lake to swim but a sign says to beware as crocodiles might be in the area."
"Love the feeling lake placid has to offer. Being that the road ends at the carpark area, it becomes a very peaceful outing. Without cars being able to drive by and any other road noises, it's a fanqtastic place to stop for lunch or to simply take in the beauty of the Barron River. There is plenty of grassed areas, picnic tables and very clean, easily accessible public toilets (recently freshly painted). Wheelchair accessibility is fantastic and quiet generous with pathing, compared to minimal usage of paths etc. *REMEMBER* As beautiful as it is, there are crocodiles in the river so DO NOT attempt to have a quick splash, or even a dip of the toes. Swimming is strictly prohibited at all times. There are signs stating to beware so make sure that you abide by them on your trip to the lake."
"Beautiful, peaceful setting. Stay away from the water's edge though, as a 6m crock was sighted on Thurs 4/11/21. Allesandros Restaurant overlooks the lake."
"This is a very picturesque landscape full of ancient environmental features such as flora, fauna, water, hilltops with rock faces. There is a walk along the river with magnificent views looking across the gorge with hills of rainforest in the foreground. You can also walk on to the platform to view spectacular scenery all the way along the gorge. A restaurant, picnic grounds, and jetties are provided for dining and recreation. Next time you are up this way don't forget to visit this fabulous place! The Baron falls and Crystal Cascade Water's are just nearby."
