"Came into Croft auto a few months ago to get lights, dcdc charger, solar panel and awning installed. Friendly staff but many issues arose. When I first went to pick the car up, I started it and all the lights on my dash had light up. I went in and told the staff, they came and spent time trying to figure out why. With no luck they said I’d have to come back on Monday, it was Friday. That weekend both batteries went completely flat as there was no charge going to them. On Monday they took it in and realised the piggy back fuse they’d installed was faulty (honest mistake). Got the car home, then realised the Solar they had also installed wasn’t getting power to the battery. Took it back and again they realised the mistake and got it fixed a week later (they gave me a discount which was nice). Months later I had gone through two batteries (I thought were faulty). And went on a road trip where each bump I hit 4x4ing dislodged the piggy back fuse and sent car into spaz. I took the car to an auto elect who discovered the piggy back fuse was actually the wrong type for the car, so replaced it (fixed problem immediately) and that the dcdc charger was wired incorrectly and was equalising my crank and secondary batteries (why I kept ruining batteries) this was sorted within 2 hours. Croft is a friendly mechanic and do try to do the right thing, but clearly are not well versed with auto electrical installations (and seemingly don’t check the work they’ve done). I wouldn’t get them to work on the car again."
