About Glastonbury Gardens
Welcome to Glastonbury Gardens, located on Lawrence Hargrave Drive in Austinmer, Australia. Our institution is not just an ordinary establishment; it is a unique combination of a park, a point of interest, and a place of historical significance. At Glastonbury Gardens, we go beyond simply providing a beautiful outdoor space; we are dedicated to recognizing, managing, and protecting various types of heritage.
We understand the importance of preserving significant places and objects, which is why we work diligently to ensure they are protected by law. Whether you are a private property owner, a local council, a state agency, or a heritage industry professional, we are here to provide you with valuable information and assistance. If you are planning to undertake any work on a State heritage listed item, we can guide you through the process of applying for an approval or permit. We can also help you determine whether an approval is required in certain cases.
In addition to our advisory services, we offer grants to support property owners, managers, and communities in identifying and caring for their heritage. We believe that heritage should not only be preserved but also kept alive and meaningful for communities. That's why we actively engage in initiatives that promote the appreciation and understanding of our rich cultural heritage.
At Glastonbury Gardens, we pride ourselves on our inclusive approach. Our advisory committee consists of members from Aboriginal organisations, elder groups, and various communities. This ensures that multiple perspectives are taken into account when making decisions regarding heritage. Furthermore, our independent statutory body comprises individuals from the community, public sector, and conservation profession, guaranteeing a balanced and well-rounded approach to heritage preservation.

Reviews of Glastonbury Gardens
"A very nice park. There's a a play area for kids, a lovely seaside view and great for weddings also."
"This is a nice garden, nestled in between houses. Space is quite large. Few huge fig trees a kids play park, that looks modern. Bench to sit on. Lots of space to kick a ball or have a picnic. There's a path near the fence that takes you to little austinmeer beach. This place has loads of potential for planting more local trees, grevillea, banksias and turning into a larger botanical garden. Would be awesome to have a path connecting to park from few entrance points, as can get quite boggy after rain."
"Glastonbury garden is a little gem, a large park with Birdlife galore. Huge figs for children to climb. And it's off Lawrence Hargrave drive. Just two minutes from the beach."
"Great Little park. There was play equipment for the kids, large open areas to play ball sports and large trees to offer shade in the hotter months. There were also picnic tables and chairs and toilets on site. Also close to the beach if you want to take a walk on the beach."
"Quiet Park just by the beach. Lots of birds, nice grass, big trees, and various flowers."
