Zap Laser Tattoo Removal

"This review is a hard one to write, because while Heidi is nice and friendly, I do not believe that when problems arise that it should be dismissed just based because someone is friendly. I have developed hypertrophic scarring across my old tattoos from where Heidi had used the laser. I had two laser tattoo removal sessions done here within the timely matter as suggested by Heidi and also by recommendation through my own research of the laser tattoo removal process. I had not received any laser tattoo removal session prior, not at this store nor anywhere else on my body. Thorough research went into my preparation for these procedures and I was well aware of the process and all involved, including the potential outcome. This is my experience: After my first session with Heidi and within the first four weeks, I would wake up with pins and needles in my fingers and eventually developed a temporary loss of feeling in my hand near the tattoo removal site. I did all the aftercare correctly as provided by the advice of Heidi, I even used new medical products that Heidi told me to get for the healing process (making sure previously that I had no possible allergies). Upon my second session I told Heidi what was happening, she assessed my progress and said it was normal. After my second session, that’s when I started to experience the same symptoms again but worse. After six weeks I had big red scars and inflamed puffy skin. Within eight weeks I visited my doctor who informed me that the skin at the old tattoo site was permanently damaged and my doctor wrote a formal notice to forbid me from continuing further with Heidi’s procedure. I had no choice but to wait until a tattoo artist deemed it safe to do so, and I had the site re-tattooed over the “healed” laser tattoo removal with a new design to cover it all, but yet still I have risen scars that clearly outline my old tattoo through my new tattoo. It is incredibly disappointing and also quite concerning that this happened. After my first visit, I couldn’t help but notice that Heidi didn’t wear gloves during my procedure. When having a tattoo removed by laser it will actually bleed afterward, and for some reason Heidi chose not to wear gloves while applying cream on my removal site and used direct skin to broken skin contact. I didn’t say anything because I didn’t want to be rude and thought maybe she forgot. She then did this again in my second session. There is not only the issue of the outcome from my experience here with laser tattoo removal, but there is also a big issue concerning the level of professionalism involved when it comes to extremely delicate matters surrounding medical procedures where bodily fluids and open wounds are present. On my first session, the client before me was having her toenails painted by Heidi and there was no hand washing in between the time some woman’s feet were touched to the time my broken skin and bloody wound was touched with Heidi’s bare hands. I genuinely wish I never went here."
