"This is an amazing doctor. She has so much insight into medicine and has identified things my local GPs did not. Dr Cartstens has an impeccably good bedside manner with her patient ‘s wellbeing is truly at heart. I live 45minutes away from her and still prefer to see her as opposed to nearby local GPs who couldnt care less and just put you through the mass production line. She is thorough and very informative. I never feel like I have wasted my time or money seeing her. As with most (aka All) doctors she does run later than appointment times so always call in advance. Dr Carstens is a doctor who obviously has a passion and loves medicine while truly showing what the Hypocratc Oath is all about. Her ethical and loving nature shines through in all she does. She has helped me with my anxiety and depression for the last 7.5 years (I dont know where I would be today if not for her!); along with my women’s health and childrens’ health. She has an amazing understanding of medicine and life and my children find her easy to talk to. A one of a kind doctor!!! I recommend her to everyone."
"Couldn’t be more thankful for having found dr Madeleine Carstens 8 years ago. She helped me through two pregnancies, recovering after difficult delivery with my first, dealing with complications after my 2nd birth.. and then helping us through the 1st year of my sons sickness and constitant chest infections. She was the one that always did the diagnoses spot on after check all of the boxes and not just listing to your symptoms but actually doing a full exam. The reason why you are always waiting for her is because she is thorough . Point . Just recently after I took my son to two different doctors I finally decided to make the hours drive to Hamilton and see dr Carstens as all the local doctors was miss diagnosing my sons skin condition. Which ended up being a dermatitis and not the Fungal or herpes virus that the doctors thought it was. Dr Carstens gave him the right medication and gave us a simple solution to help prevent the irritation from spreading.. two days later his mouth and lips looks almost normal after nearly 4 months of struggling.. She works 6 days a week with very very long hours but she doesn’t complain. Part of her treatment involves compassion for the human race. She talks to you as a friend and explain things without being judgemental. I trust this dr with my life and my children’s life’s and couldn’t praise her anymore then just saying.. thank you for being who you are."
