"Really excited to be moving to Lara from rural area as we could experience McDonalds occasionally. Wrong - eating in - noisy, not clean, unhelpful staff trying to learn auto ordering system. Take-away - food often not hot, screwed up serviettes in bottom of bag then today choc shake white, no chocolate flavour and orange juice was water with what tasted like a teaspoon of orange cordial in it. So disappointed. Have given you 5 opportunities. Will travel into Nth Geelong in future."
"Tonight they were quite busy when we got there but the staff on Wednesday night were AMAZING! We order a lot of pie and were ready for the wait (we happy to do so, knowing how long pies take to cook). But to our surprise they pies were ready, fresh, and delicious. The staff were so friendly even though they were busy, and I was super impressed about their excellent customer service. Hats off to the Wednesday night crew, you guys killed it!!"
"Having worked in hospitality for many years I am pretty understanding and compassionate with the situation. Fast food like Macca’s where they employ a lot of youngins usually their first job. I never go back in or write a complaint. But im at my wits end with this store in particular. Managers need to make sure the staff are putting in even a tiny amount of effort and care when making meals for paying customers. Perhaps more quality checks and moving them out of roles that involve touching customers actual food until they can show they are responsible enough or care enough. I moved to Lara 7 months ago so it became my local and its RARE to ever have your order right or well. I’d hate to sit down and work out the amount of money that’s been taken for food that wasn’t in the bag or food thrown halfway through as it was somehow sloppy and dry all at once?? Do better guys not cool"
"At first glance, the local McDonald's restaurant seems like any other fast-food chain. It boasts the familiar golden arches, neon signs, and the smell of sizzling burgers and fries. But upon closer inspection, it becomes apparent that there is something deeper at play here. Something metaphysical, even. As we step inside, we are transported into a different realm - a liminal space where the boundaries between the physical and the immaterial blur and merge. We are greeted by smiling employees and the sound of chatter and clanging dishes, yet we also feel a sense of unease. Is this really a restaurant, or is it something else entirely? The simulation hypothesis comes to mind - the idea that our entire reality is a computer simulation. Could it be that this McDonald's is not a physical entity at all, but rather a projection of our collective consciousness? A construct designed to satisfy our primal cravings for fast, cheap, and convenient food? Or perhaps, the truth lies somewhere in the space between the physical and the symbolic. The McDonald's restaurant is more than just a place to grab a quick meal - it represents a cultural phenomenon, a symbol of the modern world's obsession with efficiency, consumerism, and uniformity. It is a space where the lines between the individual and the collective blur, where we become mere cogs in a larger machine. But despite all this, there is something undeniably human about the McDonald's experience. The taste of a Big Mac, the sound of a soda fountain, the smell of ketchup - these sensations are real, even if the underlying reality is not. And in a world where the boundaries between the real and the artificial are increasingly blurred, perhaps it is the experience itself that matters most. In the end, the local McDonald's restaurant remains a mystery - a liminal space where the physical and the symbolic converge, where the lines between reality and illusion are blurred. But whether it is a mere simulation or a tangible entity, it is undeniable that it represents something profound about the human experience. A reminder that, no matter how virtual or artificial our world may become, we are still physical beings with a deep-seated need for connection, nourishment, and meaning."
