Welcome to Illawarra Aboriginal Medical Service, located at 150 Church Street in Wollongong, Australia. As an establishment focused on health and well-being, we strive to provide high-quality, appropriate, efficient, and effective primary health care and related services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Our mission is to improve the health and well-being of the Illawarra Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. In doing so, we recognize and pay our respects to the traditional custodians of the land on which we work and live, as well as the Elders both past and present. We also acknowledge the children and young people of today, who will become the Elders of tomorrow.

Our opening hours are from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, ensuring that we are available to serve you throughout the week.

Illawarra Aboriginal Medical Service collaborates with various organizations, including the Commonwealth Department of Health, Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet, NSW Ministry of Health, South Eastern NSW PHN – Coordinare, Rural Doctors Network, and Family and Community Services. Through these partnerships, we are able to provide comprehensive and holistic care to our community.
