"Four adult friends lunched there on Sunday afternoon 27.8. The service and the food were excellent, and it's a wonderful venue. Loved the blankets for keeping knees and legs warm in a hard-to--heat space. I also appreciated being able to take home delicious leftovers, and in a biodegradable container, which was very good. My only gripe was the ban on split bills. We weren't asking for four bills, just to be allowed to determine our own shares and pay accordingly. Don't see how this could inconvenience the venue, as we would do all the arithmetic. As it happened, enough people had cash to divvy it up approximately correctly, but it was inconvenient, as would have been the only other option of exchanging bank details and settling later. We were warned about this before we ordered, but we should have been advised when making a booking, so we could know in advance that we had to bring our own cash kitty or that one person would have to cover the lot. It should on the website too, so guests can be forewarned. I'm taking off two stars for this aspect."
"Excellent breakfast with a wide choice of small or large plates to either share or eat by yourself. Wonderful atmosphere and super friendly staff who helped in the decision making from such a large menu. Highly recommend and will be back."
"Wow what can I say, The place is aesthetically and atmospherically stunning and calming simultaneously. The food we ordered was incredibly delicious and satisfying. Truly generous portions too. The service was warm and loving, 10/10 for this whole restaurant experience. We all loved our time here."
"Visited here while passing through town and was so impressed! An amazing venue to explore and an incredible fireplace. Impressed to see plenty of vegan options on the menu and very cute petit fours. Straight up coffee too, which was delicious. Friendly and warm staff. A lovely selection of local gifts too. Highly recommend!"
"The Kiln restaurant is in a beautiful building. The food was very well priced and absolutely delicious. We ordered a shared plate and one large meal which was more than adequate. We have already booked another meal."
