"The service was not great. Took ages for someone to come and take our order and even acknowledge us when we were seated. Dirty tables around us not being cleaned for a while. When the waitress did come over and take our order, she barely said a word to us, was very blunt and could not care less about being there. Chips were cold and tasteless. The kids fish was disgusting and overcooked. No one came to do a meal check or check in on us once after we got our food. My partner wanted another drink and even tried to flag someone down but was ignored. Also noticed most of the staff were not carrying drink trays properly. Carrying with 2 hands and putting them down on the tables to get the drinks off. The waitress who bought our drinks over put it down on our table, right next to my toddler, so I had to pin her arms down to make sure she didn’t knock the drinks over. I’ve worked in hospitality enough to know you never put your tray down on the table, especially around children. You carry a tray with one hand and put them on the table with the other. Obviously the staff are not being trained well. The club sandwich and Italian meatballs were good which was the only saving grace, however not for the price. Unfortunately will not be back again because of the lack of care and customer service."

"Saturday morning brunch was relaxed and tasty at The Groove Train today. We had a genuinely happy and pleasant waitress who provided options for people with dietary needs. The coffees arrived fast and hot, and our meals not long after. Nice place to linger in before a movie."
