"Would be helpful if the venue clearly listed times, or had opening days on the phone line. Drove 40mins to dine, after calling the phone line and it saying opening 5-9pm (no days listed). Have had food here and it was excellent, but disappointing that it’s hard to visit here."
"Perhaps we should have been forewarned when the first two items we ordered, both prominently displayed on the 'Specials' board, were reported as "out of stock from the weekend", but we were keen to experience the promise of "authentic Italian cuisine"... plus it was open on a Monday night. The arancini were nicely crisp, though none had any sign of a blue cheese filling, but the bruschetta was served on dry untoasted bread with neither sight nor taste of olive oil (or garlic) and only a light scattering of basil to differentiate it from a deconstructed tomato sandwich. With chunks so broadly cut the tomato simply slid off the slice as it was lifted off the plate, we had little choice but to eat bread and topping separately. As plates piled high with spaghett were delivered to the table next to us, excitement for our mains was rejuvenated, until the moment they arrived. My lasagne had obviously been cut from a larger construct, (barely) reheated, dropped onto a cold plate and served as a collapsed and barely recognisable mess with no sides or even garnish. The experience of eating it exactly matched my low expectations from looking at it - a tepid, tasteless mash of sparse pasta with no texture whatsoever and dry nuggets of mince belying any claim to being authentic. The gnocci was even worse. Also served on a cold plate, with the presentation of a soup, the pasta was so overcooked it collapsed to slush as the fork slid in and, only a minute or two into my wife's valiant attempts to eat it, the dish both resembled and tasted like basil-flavpured porridge. At $97 for two entrees, two mains, a beer and a glass of chianti, this was a grossly overpriced dining experience that would have been a disappointing feed in a food hall."
"Food was delicious! Server was nice. The meals were slow to come out so this is the type of place to go relax and enjoy the atmosphere. They had a cute jazz band on the Thursday night that we went."
