About the Business
Welcome to Grovedale Community Hub, located at 45 Heyers Road in Grovedale, Australia. As an establishment and point of interest, Grovedale Neighbourhood House is an integral part of the Hub, offering a wide range of activities, programs, and events to the Grovedale community and its surrounding areas.
Funded by the Department of Health and Human Services under the Neighbourhood House Coordination Program, Grovedale Neighbourhood House operates within a rights-based community development framework. This framework emphasizes inclusion, equity, diversity, lifelong learning, and community connection and strengthening.
As a member of Neighbourhood Houses Victoria and the Barwon Network of Neighbourhood Houses, Grovedale Neighbourhood House is committed to serving the community and promoting a sense of belonging and well-being.
The Grovedale Community Centre, where the Neighbourhood House is located, was constructed in 1986 with funding from the State Government. Along with a branch of the municipal library, the Grovedale Senior Citizens Club became one of the several tenants. The Senior Citizens Club also contributed to the construction of the Centre through a grant from the State Government.
We would like to acknowledge and pay our respects to the Wadawurrung People, the Traditional Owners of the Land, Waterways, and Skies. We honor their Elders, both past and present, and acknowledge all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who are part of our Greater Geelong community today.
