Reviews of The Berry Hotel
"We arrived for a quick meal at 5.15pm, finding all tables reserved. The reservation signs on the table said 'you can sit here until xx time (the time of the booking.) The room was empty so we asked staff if we could sit for a quick meal, and that we would be out well before the booking, they said yes. The table we sat at was reserved for 6.30pm. We were 3/4 through the meal when a staff member came over and told us we had to leave. It was 6.05pm. She said the booking had arrived. We calmly suggested they have a drink at the bar as we will be finished in about 10 minutes, max. She was very escalated and very, very rude. I explained the signs on the table said we could sit until the booking time and that we confirmed this with a staff member. She said 'we have to fix the signs', and threatened to throw us out! We argued for about 5 minutes, and I said we could have finished our meals in that time. She finally stomped off and we finished and left. We walked over to the people waiting who witnessed the whole thing. They were a bit shocked and said we didn't ask her to approach us and that they had been doing the same thing at another table! We all had a laugh, they were lovely people. Also, they don't offer any service, you get a buzzer, pick up the cutlery etc. Its all set up for the staff, not the customer."
"This is a review on the food alone. The chicken parmy was dreadful. Very cold in the middle. Definitely frozen and re heated. Chips where good and so was the gravy. Decent consolation price I guess."
"If you're looking for a spot to enjoy a meal or drinks with friends and family on the South Coast of New South Wales, the Berry Hotel is definitely worth checking out. With its charming old-style architecture and welcoming atmosphere, Im sure you will love it. One of the first things you'll notice about the Berry Hotel is its extensive menu, which offers something for everyone. Whether you're in the mood for shared plates, poke bowls, desserts, or a classic burger, you're sure to find something that hits the spot. And if you're visiting with little ones, the kids' menu is sure to be a hit. Another standout feature of the Berry Hotel is its layout, which includes various rooms available for dining and drinking. This makes it a great destination for hosting multiple groups at once, whether you're planning a birthday party or a family get-together. And with plenty of parking available around the back, it's easy to find a spot to park and enjoy your time at the hotel. Of course, no review of the Berry Hotel would be complete without mentioning its wheelchair accessibility. It's wonderful to see a venue that's so welcoming to all visitors, and this is definitely a big selling point for anyone who might have mobility challenges. There's plenty of parking around the back, making it convenient for visitors, though street parking can be a little tricky to find nearby. And if you're visiting with little ones, there's even a children's play area out the back of the main restaurant. All in all, Berry Hotel is a lovely spot to enjoy a meal or drinks with friends and family."
"The food and service I received was beyond amazing. I have an allergy to onion family and one of the kitchen staff come out and spoke with me to really work out what he could do to deliver the best meal possible. His knowledge and professionalism was amazing and made me feel so welcomed and safe with what I was eating. The two people I was with both loved their meals, which was a pizza and crispy pork shoulder. The meal its self was delicious and the service received just made it a perfect night. I will be going back to Berry Hotel and taking more friends."
"Had a great family/friends catch up at the Berry Hotel. Loved the atmosphere of the bar with its wide selection of tap beers. Terrific bangers & mash & the daily special of brisket won much praise. The rooms are OK with comfy beds."
