"I had a one hour treatment with massage and facial. The therapist, although lovely, in my opinion didn't appear to be well trained or was possibly inexperienced. I've had many massages at many spas and was surprised that a full body massage was attempted in a 30 minute time slot. It felt rushed and not very relaxing. The 30 minute facial was an improvement, it was a "custom" facial but there was no discussion about the products she was going to use, my skin or any concerns I have. Products used seemed to be too much or too little. The therapist also didn't leave the room when I disrobed. This wasn't a problem for me but definitely something that should be done for those that may be uncomfortable. Unfortunately I won't return and will see what else Hobart has to offer on my next visit."
"Cheap place Not the kind of spa where the atmosphere is warm, cocooning and relaxing. It makes the job but nothing fancy. Cleanliness could be improved: heavy dust on the fan drains, brown limit above the water in the jacuzzi. An eucalyptus smell in the steam room would be a +."
"I used a few vouchers I had and decided to treat myself to a $300 baby moon bliss treatment, which included, full body massage and scrub, pedicure, head massage and facial. Would not recommend anyone to go. Staff member doing the treatment was genuinely lovely but in my experience with receiving massages, facials and pedicures, she was very poorly trained. It’s hard to describe but it was not a relaxing experience, the massage was terrible and I like a very firm massage but this was either painful, or just felt like I was having oil rubbed around in an unrhythmic manor. It was the worst massage I’ve ever had. After the scrub was much the same. Then I was left with a damp towel on my for the rest of the hour and a half. The pedicure has thumb prints in it from when I felt her test If it was dry. The head massage and facial were just down hill from there. I could feel extra product dripping down and around my neck. Thankfully it wasn’t my money I was using because it would’ve been such a waste. Instead it was just a waste of my time."
"Loved the pool and spa area, won’t be coming again because I was followed around by an older man who wasn’t looking at my face shall we say and asked personal questions for half an hour despite me clearly reading a book so I spent the next half hour hiding in the bathroom until my friend arrived. Staff supervising would make a difference, not paying to relax if I can’t relax."
"Had a pedicure done from a gift card I had received for Christmas. It was the most uncomfortable experience I have ever received. Feet were expected to put into a large metal food bowl to soak and it started off nice, until the therapist started butchering my cuticles and it hurt. There was no need to cut any of my cuticles as they were fine. Onto colour application of the soft gel… it was all in my cuticles, all over my skin and was lumpy as.. being in the beauty industry myself and wanting to treat myself was a big mistake as a 5 year old could’ve done better and for $80 I expected the standard to be higher. I also had a brow wax done and she had also missed so much hair that needed to be waxed. Ended up going home and doing it myself. I had tried to reach out via FB but no one responded. Poor effort for a “high standard” salon."
