"These guys were my saviour through COVID and beyond - for coffee, breakfast and lunch (just make that brunch) and just great human connection. Friendliest cafe in Geelong, great coffee, great service and do a mean sandwich. They are like Cheers … but a cafe … and in Geelong, not Boston. So what could be better? So do yourself a favour and get on down to enjoy coffee and all the other goodies at the Kilgour St Grocer!"
"The coffee was ok and the staff are lovely but the “waffles” are misleading, you only get one per serve. I was asked if I’d like to add bacon, I paid $5 and received one piece of bacon. This wasn’t an error as I’ve since met up with a friend there who was asked if she’d like to add “a serve of bacon” to her order and again only received one piece, grossly overpriced and misleading."
"I worked with this crew for a very short period of time. The weirdest part was the fact that i had to purchase their branded clothing and then promised to be refunded when employment ended.. However, refund never happened. Good food though."
"Such a cool little place! Sandwiches were delicious, plenty of little things to pick up for the pantry and some fresh produce in the fridges as well. Will definitely be back."
"Massive hipster decor but so what it's really nice. The staff here are very friendly and the food is delish. I always go for the chicken salad sarnie or tuna melt, I haven't tried any other food here so can't comment. The desserts always seem overpriced, but this place would have more hipsters in it than a turtleneck warehouse if it was in Northcote. The coffee is fine but it's the vibes that bring you back."
