Our founder, Claudia Guersenzvaig, is a highly trained and experienced Gestalt, Psychodynamic, and Family Therapist. With over two decades of private practice in Australia, Claudia brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to every session. She has also facilitated women's groups in both Melbourne and the USA, further enhancing her understanding of the unique challenges faced by individuals and families.

At Holistic Psychology, we believe in integrating various therapeutic approaches to create a tailored treatment plan for each client. Claudia combines Gestalt, systemic, psycho-dynamic, cognitive, and spiritual techniques, incorporating self-inquiry, guided imagery, and role-play to help clients explore and heal. As part of our holistic approach, Claudia also incorporates mindfulness and Buddhist practices to promote overall well-being.

Claudia's areas of specialization include trauma resolution, chronic pain management, relationships, couples and family therapy, grief and loss, eating disorders, anxiety, self-esteem, and depression. She is also experienced in addressing the specific needs of the LGBTQ community.

As a bilingual practitioner fluent in both English and Spanish, Claudia understands the unique challenges faced by individuals who have emigrated from their home countries. Having left Argentina 22 years ago and lived in various countries, Claudia has developed a deep understanding of emigration issues, grief and loss, and homesickness.

Claudia's qualifications include being a Registered Psychologist, with an Advanced Diploma in Gestalt Therapy and a Master's Degree in Psychology from Argentina. She has also completed certification in EMDR and Mindfulness, as well as foundations of emotional focused therapy for couples. With honors in psychology from Australia, Claudia is committed to providing the highest level of care to her clients.

In addition to our Ocean Grove location, we also have a practice in South Melbourne, further expanding our reach to serve the community. We offer Medicare rebates for clients referred by a GP with a care plan, and we have HICAPS/EFTPOS/Credit card facilities available for your convenience. Concession fees are also available, and we kindly request 24 hours notice for cancellations.
