About Greater Springfield Veterinary - Springfield Hospital
Welcome to Greater Springfield Veterinary - Springfield Hospital! Located at 5 Commercial Drive, Springfield, our establishment is a point of interest for all your veterinary care needs in Australia.
At Greater Springfield Veterinary, we prioritize the well-being of both animals and their loving owners. With three hospital locations in Augustine Heights, Eden's Crossing, and Springfield, we strive to provide gold-standard care through our team of dedicated professionals.
One of our key focuses is the prevention and treatment of heartworm infections. In the past 12 months alone, our experienced team has diagnosed and treated five cases. As these infections become more prevalent due to climate change and recent flooding events, we recommend starting preventative treatment from 12 weeks of age. To encourage early prevention, we currently offer a FREE heartworm injection with a 12-week puppy checkup or vaccination appointment. Please note that the injection course requires boosters at 6 and 15 months of age, and these costs are not included in the promotion.
Protecting your pets against preventable diseases is a serious matter to us. That's why we offer a membership program that covers all necessary treatments for just $45 per month or less. Additionally, we understand the importance of low-stress visits for cats and provide a calm environment for their care.
Beyond preventive care, we offer a range of services to meet your pet's needs. With a professional groomer on-site, your furry friend can enjoy a pampering session. Our skilled veterinarians are capable of performing routine and complex procedures, diagnosing and managing complex medical conditions, and providing dental health checks for free to every pet.
Equipped with the latest medical equipment, we strive to deliver fast results to provide you with peace of mind. Additionally, we offer support for registered breeders, from conception to pregnancy ultrasounds.
At Greater Springfield Veterinary, we pride ourselves on achieving great outcomes for our patients. We value building lasting relationships with our clients, listening to their concerns, and providing genuine care and advice. As pet parents ourselves, we understand the stress that comes with your companion needing treatment, and we promise to always treat your pet kindly.
We aim to provide a frictionless client experience, offering payment plan options, ample parking, and extended opening hours for your convenience. Our team consists of supportive individuals who are dedicated to your pet's well-being and personal growth.
You can find us at our two other locations: 1/21 Technology Drive in Augustine Heights and 2/7005 Mount Juillerat Drive in Redbank Plains. We also want to acknowledge and pay our respects to the Jagera, Yuggera, and Ugarapul peoples as the traditional owners of the land on which our institution stands.
We look forward to meeting you and your furry companions soon at Greater Springfield Veterinary - Springfield Hospital.

Reviews of Greater Springfield Veterinary - Springfield Hospital
"Ist timer. Staff were friendly and the tests done on my cat were thorough and notified quickly with the results. Upcoming dental treatment so hopefully all will go well."
"Greater Springfield Vets - Springfield has the kindest and most compassionate vet team in the world. We had to say goodbye to our beloved family pup of 11-and-a-half recently, and they were beyond wonderful in looking after us. I could never have imagined so much thoughtfulness and empathy. Thank you "
"Greater Springfield Vets are amazing. The staff are beautiful, they genuinely care about pets and their people. I love that they never up-sell products. My dogs love going there ♥️"
"Minus 10, DO NOT take your animals here unless you want them trying to force you into treatment you cannot afford and is not necessary and unless you want to have your animal spay against your wishes because they make it that difficult for you that you just want to run away, but because it is an emergency veterinary centre you may be tempted to use them but l warn you to try any other option than these people. If you take your animal there after hours look forward to a bill triple that of normal surgery hours and if you need to rebook they will tell you they have no more appointments during normal hours so they can charge you I out of hours fees only to find that they had a number of appointments available during normal hours, this is what they did to me, it’s all about money and desexing the animal even if they are purebred animals that you purchased to breed from; they will destroy your business by the time you leave there if you leave it up to that female vet especially but the male vet was all on for top treatment at top prices too. The most disgusting treatment by any vet l have ever encountered especially the female vet, who made me sign a waiver form saying l wouldn’t sue her before she would treat my cat and that was because l told her l didn’t want an X-Ray after l had already paid for an Ultra Sound 8 hours before which showed clearly how many kittens my beautiful girl was carrying. Because l would not accept the $3,500.00 treatment plan that she spent half an hour telling me l HAD TO choose and because l chose to stick with the treatment plan their male vet had put in place some 8 hours previously she made me sign a waiver saying l was going against veterinary advice, even though l was following the plan of their male vet. She is very pushy, rude and downright arrogant. It ended up costing me $1,500.00 instead of her $3,500.00 but if l was any weaker of a person she would have had me signed up to finance l couldn’t afford and she wouldn’t treat my purebred breeding cat until l agreed to having her spayed. Avoid this vet at all cost. You have been warned! What did she inject my cat with that caused this massive scab on her back and for the hair to change colour? Since taking these photos the scab has lifted and it has left a big open wound about the size of a 20 cent piece which l am treating myself. DO NOT TRUST HER!"
