"Well run business with a friendly owner who has a professional attitude and a great selection of items whatever you're looking for. Be it retro games, modern games, phones, jewelry, DVD's or tools. Excellent customer service and goes the extra mile to make a normal customer a satisfied customer. Best pawnshop in the Illawarra by far!"
"(Edited from earlier review) Ok, so I never leave bad reviews but this guy is something else! The owner of this place is a joke. I came in at 4.25 with some bits of gold jewellery and he was rude the second I walked in telling me that he needs to leave early to run "personal errands". If he had of been applogetic or explained this nicely, it would have been ok. The thing is, he got all defensive and grumpy pretty much telling me to get out as if I've offended him by walking in after 4pm. The store said online that it's open until 5pm. He sighed and poured the bag of jewellery out dropping pieces on the floor. He then glanced at it and said "I can tell you from the colour that this is costume jewellery". I corrected him and he then inspected closer to find the pieces all varied from 9 carat to 24 carat with diamonds. He either doesn't have a clue what hes doing or he just says that to everyone hoping to rip people off. I then pulled him up on how unprofessional he was and he started getting aggressive with me. This guy needs a wake up call! I think the truth is that it is a cashflow issue where he was out of money to buy items. If that was the case, he should have just noted that and we could have parted ways amicably."
"I went into this establishment this morning, perhaps more out of wanting to have my curiosity piqued, as this is not the type of place of business I had been before. I was accompanied by a friend and was pleasantly surprised as to how helpful and polite the owner, Scott was. I began looking at dvd’s for my grandsons and in no time at all, Scott had brought out all the age appropriate dvd’s for my boys. He then proceeded to explain the cleaning process to me and further explained, because I had selected over 30dvd’s that this would take time to clean them all up. As my friend and I had a prior arrangement to get to, Scott then graciously said he was more than happy to drop them to me where I was staying after he finished work. Being in my 60’s, sadly all too often nowadays, service, genuine service, seems to be a thing of the past. Thankfully, not at Pawn Stars Dapto though. Without hesitation or bias, I would recommend Scott and his business, Pawn Stars Dapto, to one and all. Thank you so much Scott, I know how much my grandsons will enjoy their collection of DVDs."
