Led by Mel, who has been in early childhood education since 2003, our team is passionate about providing a rich learning environment that fosters a sense of wonder and supports each child's capacity to live and learn to their full potential. Mel, a Geelong native, is not only committed to creating an inviting and welcoming place for children but also for their families. With her own two pipsqueaks, Daisy and Oliver, she understands the joys and challenges of parenthood. At Pipsqueaks Lara, we strive to create a home away from home for your little ones. Our center exudes a recognizable sense of family, inclusion, and encouragement. Children gather for meals and engage in group learning, play, and community get-togethers, replicating the safe haven family feeling.

Our dedicated childcare educators nurture children's imagination, zest for adventure, and creativity, leading them on a journey of discovery and growth. As a registered childcare provider, eligible families can access Government rebates related to the childcare subsidy, and for more information, you can visit the Department of Human Services information service.

Safety is our top priority, and we aim to provide a safe environment for our little ones to explore the outside world. With our center's SunSmart policy, we protect against the harmful effects of sun and UV exposure.

We also believe in giving back to our community. Through our collaboration with The Geelong Food Relief Centre and continued support from Coles Lara, we offer families a wide range of fresh fruit, vegetables, refrigerator items, and dry goods each week free of charge. Food donations of any kind are always welcome.

In addition, our intergenerational program with the residents of St Laurence Park in Lara allows children to connect with the wider community and develop an understanding of how the elder community can guide us. We want our children to grow in empathy and make a positive impact in others' lives. We promote responsibility, agency, and independence among the children, sharing knowledge and ideas with the residents while also learning new skills from them.

Our vibrant mural symbolizes a journey across Wadawurrung Country, showcasing people traveling to Pipsqueaks. The design features the You Yangs, Hovels Creek, Corio Bay, Ramsar wetlands, and Bunjil, the wedge-tailed eagle, the creator of Wadawurrung County. It's a visual representation of the important cultural places surrounding Pipsqueaks and serves as a warm welcome onto country.
