Reviews of Dharawal National Park
"You can access the park through any of three entry points. From Helensburgh to the park’s eastern entry, turn left onto Old Princes Highway/State Route 60. Turn right onto Darkes Forest Road and continue along to the park entry at Maddens Falls. From Campbelltown to the park’s northwestern entry, head south on Wedderburn Road, then turn right onto Minerva Road. Continue onto Lysaght Road, and turn left onto Victoria Road and continue to the park entry."
"Please understand that the Minerva pools are for Aboriginal Women only. Do not disrespect our culture please. There are other beautiful spots to swim and photograph. Jingga pools etc. Dharawal is the nation that goes from Nowra up to campbelltown areas and over to botany Bay area. It has quite a few different mobs like Gweagal etc Please respect this. Womens business means women only it is a historical pool for women's business which includes birthing separate from men."
"This place is absolutely stunning. The hike is beginner friendly but there are many other different tracks to take if you feel like a challenge. The Minerva Pools are beautiful and the colour of the water is so vibrant. There’s a lookout up above the pool so you can see it from up high. This is definitely worth seeing!"
"Incredible hike from Stanwell Tops to Austinmer (approx 16km and 5 hours). Well maintained pathways and gorgeous scenes throughout. Terrain varies but for the most part is moderately flat (some steep sections but not so steep it becomes stairs). Would be great for fit adults and children."
"We went to the O'Hares lookout. What a lovely location. We took our two little ones for a "Bush walk". 2.4k return to the lookout, all along a sealed track. The kids rode their bikes (slight uphill out, mostly downhill back). We had a picnic lunch on the ground at the lookout. Quiet, clean, well maintained, and just lovely."
