About Little Peoples Early Learning Centre – Wollongong
Welcome to Little Peoples Early Learning Centre – Wollongong! We are thrilled to introduce our newest addition to the community, Little Peoples Wollongong. Located in the heart of Wollongong's CBD on Regent Street, our centre offers high-quality care and education for children from 6 weeks to 6 years old.
Opened in 2021, Little Peoples Wollongong is the perfect centre for working families with its long opening hours and availability for 52 weeks per year. We understand the demands of modern life, and our aim is to provide a nurturing and stimulating environment where your child can thrive.
Our programs are based on the Early Years Learning Framework, with a focus on Being, Belonging, and Becoming. We believe in providing a holistic approach to learning, encompassing all aspects of a child's development. Our pre-prep students benefit from an extensive Transition to School Program, preparing them for the next stage of their educational journey.
At Little Peoples Wollongong, we provide a wide range of resources tailored to each age group. Our Preschool Room is equipped with computers and a smart screen, enhancing the learning experience for our older children. As a registered SunSmart centre, we prioritize the safety and well-being of our children by following guidelines set by the Cancer Council.
Hi, I'm Amanda, the Nominated Supervisor at our Wollongong Service. I have been a part of the Little Peoples family since 2009 when I completed my Certificate III Traineeship at our St Helens Park Service. Over the years, I have furthered my education through Diploma and University, earning the promotion to Nominated Supervisor at Little Peoples Ingleburn in 2016. After taking time off to have my baby daughter, I was thrilled to be offered the position at Wollongong. My goal is to lead a team of dedicated educators and provide the best quality of care for your little ones while forming meaningful relationships with our children, families, and the wider community.
Our classrooms at Little Peoples Wollongong are designed to be child-centered, allowing children to take ownership of their learning with the support of their peers, educators, and educational environment. We believe in the power of play and provide numerous opportunities for experimental play and social-driven experiences. Through trial and error thinking strategies, children learn and explore their world.
As an experienced educator and leader, I strive to create programs that foster respect, responsibility, and community. I believe in giving every child an equal chance for quality education and a positive start in life. It is important for children to feel safe and supported in their home and educational environments, which helps them grow and develop with confidence. I value the uniqueness of each child and aim to help them thrive.
At Little Peoples Wollongong, we recognize the importance of healthy eating habits in early childhood. Our nutritional menu, provided by Kids Gourmet Food, incorporates the daily dietary requirements of children. The menu rotates every six weeks, exposing children to a wide range of flavors, textures, and ingredients while ensuring they receive the recommended nutritional intake. If your child has any special nutritional needs, food allergies, or sensitivities, please inform your centre supervisor. Please note that our centres are a 'nut & egg free' environment.
We are proud to be a recipient of funding under the NSW Department of Education's Start Strong for Long Day Care 2023 program. This program provides fee relief for preschoolers attending long day care. Additionally, families may be eligible for the Child Care Subsidy (CCS) to help with the cost of child care. To claim this subsidy, you can use your Centrelink online account through myGov.
Finally, we pay respect to the Traditional Custodians & First Peoples of NSW and acknowledge their continued connection to their country and culture. We also pay our respects to Elders past, present, and future.
We invite you to book a tour and see our centre for yourself. At Little Peoples Wollongong, we are committed to providing a nurturing and enriching environment where your child can learn, grow, and thrive. Join our village and give your child the best start in life.

Reviews of Little Peoples Early Learning Centre – Wollongong
"My children really enjoyed themselves there, as they often tell me how much they want to attend there. The whole enrolment process is smooth and well coordinated. Everyone is approachable and patient in addressing concerns and enquiries."
"Our 2 year old goes here. He was a Covid baby and spent some of the most important times of his development under lockdown. As a result, he faced some difficulties with socialising and would get very upset if we tried to leave him with family. We really thought he might face a lot of difficulty at school, but much to our surprise, he loves it so much. The educators are all such wonderful people, and so well suited to the job. I feel that his educators give him such genuine care and support which really puts our mind at ease. Thank you so much to all of Atahan's wonderful educators: Miss Sarah Miss Taylor Miss Wisa Miss Zoe Miss Hayley Miss Chelsea Miss Alex Miss Skye Miss Taneisha Miss Christina Miss Una and all the others that haven't been mentioned. The food they serve is nutritious and tasty. Their centre is so clean. Usually people associate preschool with getting ill every week but our son has never been sick! We get regular updates about our son's activities, meals, nappy changes, sleeping habits updates etc through the app they use. We get sent photos and feel like we aren't missing out on anything. There's is undercover parking, a new outdoor play area, lots of new toys. They provide milk (even my son's goat milk), and baby wipes too. Overall fantastic experience, would highly recommend to all who are considering it!"
