"I loved my stay here , the staff and people in the restaurant where so amazing. I felt so at home. I. Coming back on the 8th of aug and I'm counting down the days. As it's truely so helpful and I can't stress enough how beneficial it was for me. Dr Allison is the most caring doctor. Thank you scp I can't wait to come back."
"After having expensive assessments done for professional diagnosis. All they want is for me to have more costly assessments that I cannot afford. And to see another psychiatrist there, more money. Hospital admission very expensive and no after care support in the community or referrals. I now realise I should have looked at a psychiatrist who can actually deal with my diagnosis properly. After nearly 5 years of treatment and thousands of dollars, worse off."
"I am very disappointed in how my loved one was treated here. They do not help as they claim to, they have no empathy or compassion. They spoke to my loved one as if they were a child and wouldn't assist them when they needed medical attention. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone."
"A member of my family was admitted to SCPMHH. They did not provide adequate care. Far from it. Promised medical help was not provided. Continually disrupted throughout the night with excessively noisy patients watching sport on TV to late hours, which was condoned by staff. Very noisy and disruptive checks throughout the night causing sleep disruption. Pain medication required for a procedure was not provided resulting in migraine. I had to phone nursing staff to get them to take some medication to my family member to address the migraine pain. This was promised to be done asap. After no medication was provided after many hours my family member had to leave the hospital to get help. My family member left the hospital, never to return. All SCPMHH seem interested in is getting patient admission, then not provide the care they need. An official complaint was made and the hospital did not respond to the complaint within their specified time frame. A complaint was submitted to the Health Care Complaints Commission. SCPMHH have still not responded to the complaint. Avoid this hospital."
"Dr Stevenson is incompetent and unethical. He sends the incorrect information to patients. This is a gross mistake in his field. My partner does not need to know the diagnosis and trauma of strangers nor do they need to know hers. His incompetent emails have been forwarded to the HCCC"
