"Great cafe! Worth checking out. Had a mocha and hotcakes. The hot cakes were AMAZING! Mocha was also very nice. The vibes are cool and service was good. I liked that the music was a mix of genres."
"I recently had the opportunity to visit King Of The Castle Cafe and would like to provide feedback based on my experience. While the food at the cafe was absolutely delicious, I must acknowledge certain areas that require attention, particularly regarding the temperature of the coffees and the slow service due to understaffing. Let's start with the positive aspect—the culinary offerings at King Of The Castle Cafe were a true delight. The menu boasted a variety of tantalizing dishes, each prepared with great care and attention to detail. The flavors were exceptional, and the quality of the ingredients shone through in every bite. The food truly exceeded my expectations and left me craving for more. However, I must address the issue of the coffees, which were served cold during my visit. Coffee lovers value a steaming hot cup, and unfortunately, this aspect was lacking at King Of The Castle Cafe. It was disappointing to have the delightful food experience overshadowed by the temperature of the coffees. Ensuring that all beverages, especially coffee, are served at the optimal temperature would greatly enhance the overall dining experience. Furthermore, the service at King Of The Castle Cafe was hindered by understaffing, resulting in slow service. It was evident that the limited number of staff members were stretched thin, struggling to keep up with the demands of the customers. The lack of prompt attention and delays in taking orders and serving meals created an atmosphere of frustration and impatience. It is crucial for a cafe to have sufficient staff to ensure efficient service and a positive customer experience. While the food at King Of The Castle Cafe was undeniably delicious, the issues with cold coffees and slow service due to understaffing need to be addressed. By prioritizing consistency in temperature and promptly attending to customer needs, King Of The Castle Cafe can elevate its dining experience and truly become a go-to destination for food enthusiasts. In conclusion, the delectable cuisine at King Of The Castle Cafe deserves accolades, but improvements in the temperature of the coffees and addressing the issue of understaffing are necessary for a truly exceptional dining experience. I hope that this feedback is taken into consideration and that King Of The Castle Cafe takes the necessary steps to enhance both the culinary offerings and the overall service quality."
"A nice spacious brunch place on the main strip in Geelong. We were sat at the back (next to the gas hot water unit) which was nice and airy but possibly questionable (you can smell the gas when it activates, but thankfully it's only a little). Brunch itself was good. Had the beef bagel, and cauliflower tacos. Really wanted the Hole in Bagel but it looks like the menu has changed!Would recommend this place for anyone looking for a decent brunch in Geelong."
"Brunch, breakfast, coffee and more. With lots of seating and open air available it’s very busy on most day offs (weekend/holidays) so booking for groups is essential. Staff was stressed but respectful and helpful. Our young waiter was overwhelmed the day we walked in were able to be seated (2 adults/2 kids). Seated promptly as the morning brunch lunch was finishing up. Menu has options for all that are interested. Different diets were catered for and supported with substitutions. The food was glorious, the hotcakes were a kid for the kids. We substituted the ice cream for coyo. Maple syrup was plentiful and the fluffy was was good. Eggs Benedict was set on a large plate and made for a good eat. French toast was a hit as well and everyone enjoyed trying a little bit. Coffee is served up for walk-ins along with a pastry and the wait didn’t seem to long for it either. Soy latte was good and worth it. We will be back and even though it’s out of our neighborhood."
