"I'm sorry, but if you offer a garlic prawn pizza and I ordered and paid for extra garlic, please allow me to taste garlic. There was zero garlic flavour on my pizza. Poor form. I guess that's what you have to settle for when Amici is closed. Never again La Bella. You're rubbish."
"I like La Bella's pizza's. They have great quantity of food compared to other pizza places for the cost. Its good winter food. But the hygiene in the Sandy Bay eatery is terrible. There is grease, grime, oil on power points at the front. The grime, grit underneath and on top of tables, walls. The front of the restaurant did not provide any faith that the hygiene in the kitchen is acceptable. Im amazed a work health and safety officer has not ordered this restaurant to clean better. I told the staff that the state of the restuarant is so filthy and I pointed to the grease and oil on powerpoints, the grit underneath tables, and on top of serving counters. And they just said "yeah" with a smile on their face. Cause they clearly dont care. I dont blame the staff for not caring but the owner clearly does not care. I was amazed by the disgusting state of this restaurant in sandy bay. If you dont believe me, look at the power points hidden behind the dusty old red scooter to the left side when you enter the front doors. You will see power points with 20 years grease."
"pizza is tasteless! First mistake I made was ordering after noticing Indians are running a pizza shop. The pizza by far the worst I’ve had since I can remember. Got through 1 piece and left the pizza in the shop. I went to solo pizza around the corner run by Italians who know how to make a decent pizza! You blokes need to learn how to make a pizza with taste!"
"Used to be the best. More than happy to pay extra to support local. Been supporting them for years since I was a uni student in the late 90s. DO NOT BUY la Bella anymore!. Friday night experience started when we ordered. We ordered in store not online. They didn’t apply the current value deal (which was printed right next to the counter) and didn’t understand me very well so I ended up paying about $20 more than I should have. Which turned out to be a huge waste of money because the cardboard the pizza came in had more flavour than each of the different flavoured pizzas we went for. Each was bland, tasteless and frankly, disgusting. We made it through a slice each before giving up. Never again, what the hell happened to this brilliant local business? The signage says they have been open since 1977 and I don’t doubt it but this feels a lot like new owners have taken over and have no idea what they are doing. If the old owners are still in charge then you need to go under cover and check your Sandy bay store because it’s ruining your reputation! Very disappointed and huge amount of money down the drain."
"Order was ready for pickup 10min after placing a convenient online order, which was nice. The pizza itself was relatively mediocre; thick, fluffy base, meager toppings. Not bad but really nothing amazing either."
