As part of our commitment to sustainability, we have launched a new initiative called the "war on waste." Join us in this important cause by participating in our FREE online and face-to-face workshop series, where you can learn practical ways to reduce waste and make a positive impact on the environment.
We take pride in acknowledging and respecting the traditional owners of the land on which we operate. Tramway Reserve is located on the traditional country of the Awabakal and Worimi peoples, and we honor their cultural heritage and beliefs. We recognize that they have endured over two hundred years of dispossession and are committed to addressing disadvantages and attaining justice for the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples of our community.
Tramway Reserve is not just a park; it is a place where community, sustainability, and cultural heritage come together. We invite you to visit us and experience the beauty and significance of this institution firsthand. Whether you're looking to relax in nature, learn about waste management, or contribute to the development of our city, Tramway Reserve has something for everyone.

Reviews
"Fantastic view out to sea. Whales come in close behind the baths."
"Great spot"
"A great little place to have a picnic, with its beautiful views and some nice shady spots near the trees, Its the perfect spot to play with the kids, sit with your lover and embrace the coastal landscape."
"Scenic views, walk along the foreshore and there are takeaway shops and undercover seating. Depending on the tide, you may get a splash."
"Signage here at this park explains the convict and tram history of this area. The park is located about 400 metres east of the new Newcastle Beach Light Rail stop. The park offers an excellent view of the Pacific Ocean, Ocean Baths and Newcastle Beach. There are several seats at this park. Trees offering shade are here. Plenty of green space. A short walk north of this park reveals a lot more of Newcastle's history ie Fort Scratchley and heritage listed homes."
