When it comes to billing, we offer a mixed billing system. This means that we provide both bulk billing and fee-paying services. In the case of private billing, fees are determined by the treating practitioner and must be paid in full at the time of consultation. However, we can claim your Medicare rebate and arrange for it to be refunded directly into your bank account.
New patients are always welcome at Broadmeadow Medical Centre. To make an appointment, you can either use our convenient online booking portal or give us a call. We recommend booking in advance to ensure that you can be seen at your preferred time.
We understand that life can be unpredictable, and sometimes appointments need to be rescheduled. If you are unable to attend your scheduled appointment, please notify us in advance to avoid incurring a non-attendance fee.
Please note that we have stringent health and safety measures in place. If you are experiencing any flu-like symptoms, such as a temperature, cough, cold, runny nose, or sore throat, we kindly request that you do not enter the clinic.
In addition to our regular operating hours, it is important to note that the Newcastle Afterhours Service operates out of our premises when Broadmeadow Medical Centre is closed. This service is available after 5pm on weekdays, after 12pm on Saturdays, and all day on Sundays and public holidays. Please be aware that the After Hours service is not affiliated with Broadmeadow Medical Centre.
For patients of Adamstown Medical Centre, we also provide information and services. Our operating hours are from Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 5:00pm, and on Saturdays from 8:30am to 12:00pm.

"Would leave no stars if possible. Reception staff were the rudest admin staff I have ever had contact with. Sarcastic, complaining, eye rolling, snapping answers to questions that weren’t even the questions being asked. It was quite unbelievable. I tried numerous times to encourage a more positive vibe but it was impossible. I asked another patient if they were always like that and she said they are always horrible. Wait time was ridiculous and the waiting room was filthy. We will never go back. Terrible environment for child patients. Avoid if you can. Must be a shocking work culture to be in everyday. Their staff retention must be awful. I don’t know how anyone could last in that environment."
