Reviews
"Kitchen Connection are a typical, old school bully-boy business. They send out a high pressure closer (salesperson) and if you're silly enough to be conned they deliver a below average product for an inflated price. Don't be intimidated by their high pressure tactics though. Tell them to f#%& off. They're typical bullies...full of hot air and nothing to back it up with."
"Home visit was high pressure. We were told what we could have to fit their own stock cupboards, rather than listen to what we wanted. The salesman was quite rude at the end because we didn't sign up. When the company later phoned me to see why we didn't sign up, I complained about the pressure & rudeness if the salesman, & told them I wouldn't do business with their company for that reason, even when they offered to send a different salesperson to visit us."
"It's been 5 months now, and our kitchen is still incomplete and with a number of issues. Firstly, beware the sales contract and payment terms. They make sure they are paid well in advance and once they have your money there is no real reason for them to address the issues that are sure to arise. Secondly, they are not good at setting expectations. A few surprises to us where that our stone benchtop was delivered in three parts, our glass splashback was in seven pieces and our soft close drawers don't actually close but often bounce back. The company's response was that the joins are not specified in the contract and that we should have paid extra for electric mechanisms rather than mechanical ones. Had the company been better at setting these expectation, we would have made different design choices so that we are in the unhappy position we are. Thirdly, their customer service manager really didn't keep track of the project (I was specifically corrected when referring to him as a project manager). We signed up for what we thought was a premium product which would be professionally delivered. In reality the service manger visited three times during the entire four month installation, two of which were to talk about specific issues. There was no oversite of the project at all. Do your self a favour, and stay well clear of Kitchen Connection."
"Super impressed. Not too over the top with the mushy sales plug - just right in showing their products without being pushy. Good discount and they came 2 days later to measure up and do a plan we liked. Our kitchen wasn't easy to design but they came up with a good plan. Very easy to deal with and worked within our budget to date. I'll let you know how it turns out as installation isn't until October. Hopefully we'll still be happy."
"The initial consult was professional. Unfortunately there was multiple issues with my instilation including: numerous measurement errors on multiple occasions, the skirting boards aren't flush to the floor and the laundry cabinets had to be ordered multiple times. Having been patient with the company and their multiple errors, I wasn't planning to write a poor review as the manager at the time had health issues and I was understanding of the situation. Today I reached out to the company hoping to add a new section of kitchen to hide the visible poor skirtings in the image provided, I was told that wanting to order 4 more cabinets and a bench top wasn't a large enough order. Yet they had previously had to single order a cupboard 3 times due to error. My laundry has still not been fully installed either but I will be having that fixed by another carpenter. There's many kitchen supply companies in Newcastle, I unfortunately I chose a company based on it being a national brand, I wouldn't recommend this company."
