"One of the pharmacists ( a male ) is honestly one of the rudest people I have ever met. My partner and I went in today to grab some emergency contraception, I’ve bought some from this chemist before with no issues. They were incredibly friendly and understanding, respectful of me and my own personal choices. I’ve been with the same person for almost 3 years and have massive anxiety issues so a lot of the time my partner helps me speak to people at shops or ask for embarrassing things. I had the misfortune of running into the same chemist I’ve had before when asking for advice on sleeping medication, he made some comments about my weight and essentially told me not to eat before bed. He made an assumption based on my appearance that I did this, I did not say that I do. So fast forward to today when I had to pop in to my local about grabbing some emergency contraception. The rude chemist was there again, we walked up to the counter. He was standing behind a different counter and wanted us to yell what we wanted across to him so the entire store could hear us. My partner said “can you come over here please so we can talk to you?” He came over, begrudgingly. We then asked him for the emergency contraception. He was incredibly reluctant to give it to us. He asked the usual questions and we answered them. He walked over and picked up the medication and came back over, still holding the medication he starts prodding. “When did this happen? Is it too late?” He said looking at my stomach. We told him it was last night. “What other contraceptives do you use?”, “are you safe?”, “how old are you both?”, “are you pregnant already” (he’s looking at my stomach again) “no I am not.” He then continues to press that line of questioning “are you sure you aren’t already pregnant?” I said “I’ve already told you I’m not, there’s no need to be rude.” I say this because he is looking at my stomach again. “I’m not being rude.” I’ve never had such a demeaning trip to a chemist before, this man is allowed to have his personal opinions but this is not my problem. He wouldn’t give us the medication so we left. I’m beyond horrified. I’m telling my friends and family to not ever go to this chemist."

"The best pharmacy on the coast hands down! I was referred by a friend to come down and see Louis who is always helpful! Not only does he answer all my pharmacy related questions but when he’s not too busy he takes the time to have a friendly chat. If you live on the coast and you’re not getting your meds here, give it a shot, won’t disappoint!! 5 stars for Optimal Wyong, but if there was more, I’d give more!!"
