"This whole industry needs to be overhauled and regulated! Only needed an oil change, so booked a basic service... $600 later... Oh they don't do basic services anymore, cuz they don't make enough money so they told me they checked and did a bunch of stuff that they didn't need to do... Said they did a wheel alignment, tightened my handbrake, etc. nope. Yeah mate nah... Not coming back. This is my second or third time coming here (gave them a good chance). Previously, needed new tyres, do not purchase the tyres they recommend! Over priced and also skid in the wet when stopping and going when they were brand new for a mid-range tyre at ~$200 a pop. Ages ago needed a part replaced told to get quotes myself so called up a bunch of places having no idea what I'm talking about, bad communication, had to chase them up to get anything done and find out what was happening. In the end told the part was discontinued, but totally simple to find an equivalent item. That this took weeks, when it ended up being a quick job once I chased them down and they made a couple of phone calls on their end. Get out of town. Do not give these guys your money. Man I hate mechanics. Srsly, just be decent."

"I love Motorserve Kotara because they have always been professional, thorough, and completed services to a high quality. The mechanics there was able to identify critical components that needed maintenance or replacement, before a more serious issue may have developed. They charge a fair price given the quality of service, and that they provide itemised, detailed documentation of all the work performed, and items replaced. As well as what maintenance will need to be performed next and how crucial it is. They also wash/vacuum your car afterward for free. I also had the mechanic reattach my front bumper more securely at no cost. They can also get your car ready for its greenslip, tyres and everything. Receptionists are always lovely too. I also enjoy a 10% discount for being an NRMA member."

"I can't fault these guys at all. Perfect service, always friendly, no request is a problem. The staff are genuinely happy to help you and are always polite and friendly. I've had my car towed to their workshop and they were amazing, provided me with details of what was wrong and what it would cost to fix it the first day they opened after my car was delivered. They even washed the car before I collected it. Had a tiny little warranty job and it was dealt with professionally and it was made so easy. Recently had a service and the cost was more than reasonable and I knew about any extra charges (bulbs and a filter) before they did the work. I wish I lived closer so I could use this workshop for my regular servicing needs. Thank you Jay, Jacob, Simon and Kacey, you have made my Kotara Motorserve experiences memorable in the best way."
