Dr Tan-Gore holds a Consultant position at the renowned John Hunter Hospital, a leading tertiary-referral center in Newcastle, NSW. She is also the Supervisor of Training for the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Training Program, ensuring the highest standard of care and training for future surgeons in the field. Additionally, she operates at several private hospitals in the Hunter Region.

As part of Konara Cancer Care, Dr Tan-Gore collaborates with a team of practitioners, including Surgeons, Oncologists, Allied Health, and Nursing Practitioners, to provide a comprehensive approach to Head and Neck Cancer patient care. She strongly believes in actively involving patients and their families as part of this team during treatment.

Dr Tan-Gore completed a Fellowship in Head and Neck Surgery at the prestigious Chris O'Brien Lifehouse in Sydney. During her Fellowship, she developed a special interest in the reconstructive management of Head and Neck Cancer and is trained in microvascular reconstructive surgery.

She also has a keen interest in TMJ dysfunction and pathology, having completed a Residency in TMJ Surgery with the University of Maryland, USA. Dr Tan-Gore aims to provide patients with a range of treatment options for TMJ dysfunction, from minimally invasive TMJ arthroscopic surgery to TMJ replacement surgery.

Dr Tan-Gore obtained her MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery) and BDSc (Bachelor of Dental Science) from the University of Queensland. She completed surgical training in the Northern Territory, Queensland, and New Zealand before attaining her Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons (OMS).

Outside of her professional endeavors, Dr Tan-Gore is happily settled in Newcastle with her husband Darryl. She enjoys spending time in or on the ocean and is committed to sun protection, diligently reapplying sunscreen every two hours.
