"Visiting our Niece and Nephew in Belmont. Popped infor some fruit to snack on. Just loved the variety. Prices not too bad either."
"There's a few Coles within easy drive from me but Coles Belmont has a nice relaxing air about it while shopping. I really am happy going there"
"Well done . Thursday before Easter Coles was excellent. Plenty of staff to enable good customer service and assistance! All Cash registers open. It made a big shop enjoyable. Thank you"
"I'm inclined to share some recent unpleasant experiences from this store given we've walked away from store unsatisfied with service twice in approximately 6 weeks. Both encounters relate to having requested rain checks on discounted items they had no stock of. Most recently, when requesting a raincheck, I was told at counter "we are not giving rain checks because this weeks catalogue is detroyed." We drove to the store aware of online catalogue and discounts offered. After store visit I returned home to see the online catalogue specific to this store location was indeed still up and running and had not expired. I called store manager who verified to me that this store's "paper catalogue" had been discarded. I still don't know what it actually means to have the weekly catalogue "destroyed", whilst it is still available online - for viewing in store specials and for online orders if wanting to purchase by that means. I had asked the employee who denied the raincheck what it means and I was just told they were not doing rainchecks. Where the service was disappointing is when walking away I happened to look back and see the same employee shaking her head and talking to her current customer at checkout, where I could see people overhearing conversation looking at my wife and I smirking. I returned to the checkout area, remained polite, and questioned " I'm sorry, but is there a problem as I see you are still talking about the matter ? " I was told no. Around 6 weeks prior to todays experience at same store and counter ( the outside counter linked to the cigarette sales & 12 items or less checkout ), I had asked for a raincheck. Prior to asking I had a lengthy wait watching the staff member check out a full trolley of goods to the value of $237.00. I was privvy to listen to this employee chat away with their friends as they made all others wait. After processing the bill the employee then asked her customer friends what was the brand of perfume the man was wearing, as she liked it. So that conversation ran it's course, also whilst all others waited. After the wait I was told no, I can't give you a raincheck for that item. My wife and I hopped in the car and drove from Belmont store to Mt Hutton, where we were given a raincheck for same item instantly....and in a polite manner. These two experiences are not isolated, which led me to call store manager today and ask if Coles Belmont 2280 has a unique policy in regard to honouring Coles rainchecks. We've had multiple rainchecks from Kotara, Charlestown and Mount Hutton. They have always been processed politely and efficiently at those store. Other times, and these are multiple times, at Belmont store I've been kept waiting uncomfortably long at counter while staff call up other staff to check shelf stock even though I've already stated there's no stock available on shelf , and also for they to then check for stock out back. Each time I show a photo of the discount ticket on shelf for ease of processing. These are experiences that are unfortunately very unique to Coles Belmont. Otherwise, over the many years I've attended the Belmont store both of the staff members mentioned above have always been polite, and offered very good service. Another reason why I am inclined to believe this issue relates to a store policy unique to Belmont. I'll still shop there as it's nearby, but I'll obviously preference those other stores given their level of service, and the shopping experience overall, is simply better for our needs."
"Coles Belmont NSW has rapidly gone from one of the better stores in the region to the worst. Since shopping dynamics varied during covid lockdown times the store is often understocked , with pallets of stock regularly blocking parts of the store and freezer/shelf stock at times seen to be thrown in with little care. One of the worst issues is the MANY staff picking online orders, who block aisles and dart in between regular shoppers when trying to pick those orders. Aisles regularly have 3 or 4 order pickers and their trolleys blocking access. They don't seem to know how to manage a regular shop at the same time as fulfilling online sales. The way things have degraded I think they'd be better closing doors to normal shoppers and just functioning as a distribution centre. Last time at store I shuffled around multiple pallets of unpacked stock with the wrapping plastic strewn across the floor. Really feels like a shop that's lost its way, and doesn't care too much about that fact. *UPDATE : Visited store 3 weeks after posting above review, and nothing's changed. I'm adding a current photos of what is now the standard in this store."
