"Would absolutely recommend Ben and his team at Turner Freeman. They settled my CTP claim and were professional, knowledgeable and a pleasure to deal with. Got a great result and very glad I went with them. They have a great reputation and it's well earned."
"I used Turner Freeman, Newcastle for my recent TPD and WPI claims after I fractured my spine in a work accident. My lawyer, Jade Bowdler was professional and knowledgeable in all areas from start to finish in all aspects of my claims, she explained processes clearly at all times, would return calls and emails within the day to answer any questions I had and would always leave me feeling confident. Jade was able to have my TPD payout approved and paid out with no issues in a very timely matter and also was able to negotiate with the insurer to settle my WPI claim outside of court for a much higher figure than what was offered during mediation. I was pleasantly surprised when I was given a $25,000 discount on my final fee as the firm thought it was only fair since the other party had wasted a lot of time at my expense. Don't let Jade's age fool you, she is one of the most intelligent, hard working people I have ever met! I must also make mention to Partner Ben Grosse who also worked on my case with Jade."
"Back in 2017 I was injured in a work place accident resulting in me sustaining quite a serious knee injury with multiple knee surgerys spanning over 4 years. Review on Turner freeman I contacted the firm in late 2017 for the support and knowledge and definitely received that , Turner freeman set my appointment to come into the office and that is where I met Ben grosse Jade bowdler Genevieve tempest and from that moment on I had nothing but support and there full attention, So as time went on Jade bowdler allways checked in to see how surgerys went to make sure the insurer was continuing to support me through the process and the rehabilitation side of things and continue to inform me of my rights which was great. As time passed my injury was not improving after 5 surgerys and my return to work wasn't looking good and I could not return back to my trade/experience Jade bowdler then lodged a Tpd claim so not only was jade helping me through the workers comp side of things she now was also managing my Tpd claim jade had So much knowledge and understanding of the Tpd process she successfully won that claim so thank you jade . Jade continued to work through my workers comp claim and I was accessed after seeing both our doctor and the insurers doctor at 22% hole person impairment I was then talked through the process buy jade on the next step we could take pending my decision which was easy , CONCLUSION So although my injury will be with me for life Jade bowdler and her team at turner freeman Helped me and my family receive the best possible outcome SO THANK YOU."
"EXTREMELY DISSATISFIED with their service regarding settlement of our father's estate. Despite clear acceptance and agreement by all members of the family each issue was a problem rather than identifying a solution. We were berrated by the solicitor when we iidentified miscommunication by his assistant to another member of the family. After the sale of the property it took 4 months to receive funds. Each time we called we were always directed to the assistant who was often unavailable and then relayed our information to the lawyer making it cumbersome. We are used to working with a solicitor from other practices who we work directly with who when identifying potential problems gives us clear guidelines towards preferred outcomes."
"Very dissatisfied with this law firm. I engaged and trusted this firm with my Workers Compensation matter, who took in excess of 8 months to lodge the application form to WIRO to apply for funding to pay themselves to represent me. I am told that applying to WIRO usually takes about 2-3 weeks after engaging the services of a law firm. I engaged their services in February 2018. By October 2018, Turner Freeman had still not lodged the application. In October I was still being assured the funding application would be lodged, however after contacting WIRO myself out of frustration, I once again find they did not do what they assured me had been done. I cancelled a psychiatrist assessment appointment which I had on the 6th March 2018 on their advice and as by October 2018 they still had not submitted the funding application form, another psychiatrist appointment could not be made. This means this firm had my matter for nearly a year and they did not one thing for me. Turner Freeman lawyer requested my Superannuation information in March 2018 to apply for TPD. The superannuation firm emailed the solicitor the application forms on the 1st May 2018. Despite informing the lawyer my long term treating psychiatrist was retiring on the 31st July 2018, Turner Freeman did not sent the forms until August 2018, which was too late. I wasted a nearly a year, placing trust - and now no further along (actually well behind) to having my matter sorted. In fact, I have now engaged the services of another law firm (who also can't believe it took Turner Freeman so long to submit a form), however I am left distraught over their poor performance, lack of care and negligence. Instead of apologising to me for their incompetence, they tried to twist their mishaps into me for being noncompliant. This is utterly disgraceful. I have solid evidence of my claims re; Turner Freemans negligence regarding mishandling my case. This is already stressful without being unnecessarily mucked around by people who are supposed to assist you and you place trust. I have now lodged a formal complaint to the Office of Law Commissioner to investigate. I am writing a review as I do not want anyone to go through what they have put me through."
