Wamburun Hall
About the Business
Welcome to Wamburun Hall, one of the newest residential buildings at the Australian National University (ANU) in Australia's capital, Canberra. Situated at the foot of Black Mountain, this striking glass building is named after the local Indigenous word for large black cockatoo and houses 500 self-catered students.
At Wamburun Hall, we pride ourselves on creating a culturally diverse, inclusive, and supportive community for our residents. Located on the ANU campus, our students enjoy the convenience of being close to the city, their classes, and the beautiful Australian bushland.
Our hall features a range of amenities to enhance the student experience. With dining spaces and large communal kitchens, students have the flexibility to cook individually or together whenever they like. Each resident is allocated their own light and airy furnished bedroom, providing a comfortable and private space. Additionally, our hall offers a communal laundry with washing machines and dryers, as well as common spaces including a Junior Common Room, Senior Common Room, movie theatre, music rooms, and study rooms on each floor.
The sunny quad in the middle of the building is a highlight of Wamburun Hall. Featuring shared community garden beds, it provides a great space for residents to enjoy meals, catch up with friends, read, or even play backyard cricket and football.
As part of the ANU community, Wamburun Hall residents have the opportunity to participate in interhall social, arts, and sports programs, as well as a variety of events presented by both the residential community and the hall itself. This ensures that our residents have a well-rounded and enriching experience during their time at ANU.
Fees for Wamburun Hall are indicative and may vary depending on the room type. For more information and to secure your place, don't hesitate to contact us. Enjoy the convenience of staying on campus and being part of the vibrant ANU community.

"Here is a lot of thieves, a lot. Many of my stuffs were just missing, quick noodles, eggs, food in freezer, pepper. My advice is if you have any well-packed food, don’t put them in the kitchen."
"Absolutely amazing!! They gave me a chocolate milkshake with alternative milk. They also asked if I didn’t wanted ice cream since I’m lactose intolerant but I declined since I’m an avid ice cream lover. Tasted bloody good."
"i moved into a ground floor dorm before it sunk a full level. no ones tried to save me, they just built a new lobby. please send help"
"Good community but has flaws in technical vulnerabilities and causes way too many fire alarms. One of the bigger types of dorms in ANU, 6 flours in total, has open grass area in the center of the hall."
"Love the community here~"
