About the Business
Welcome to Eastern Fleurieu School Strathalbyn R-6 Campus, located at 34 East Terrace in Strathalbyn, Australia. Our school is part of the Eastern Fleurieu R-12 School, a multi-campus institution that offers education from Reception to Year 12. Situated southeast of Adelaide, our campus is nestled in the heart of the beautiful Fleurieu Peninsula, known for its rich agricultural landscapes and popular tourism destinations.
The Eastern Fleurieu R-12 School was established in 1996, following a review of educational provision in the area. It was formed through the amalgamation of five existing schools in Strathalbyn, Langhorne Creek, Milang, and Ashbourne. While each campus has its own unique history and identity, we have embraced a whole school approach to provide outstanding educational options and outcomes for all our students. Our dedicated staff, students, parents, and wider communities work together to create a supportive and nurturing learning environment.
Strathalbyn, where our campus is located, is a picturesque and growing town just 50 kilometers from Adelaide, the state capital. Langhorne Creek, situated 15 kilometers east of Strathalbyn, is known for its beautiful vineyards in one of Australia's oldest wine-making districts. Milang, located 20 kilometers south of Strathalbyn, sits on the shores of Lake Alexandrina, an important part of the River Murray system. Ashbourne, 15 kilometers west of Strathalbyn, is surrounded by towering eucalyptus trees and other native vegetation.
At Eastern Fleurieu R-12 School, we uphold a set of core values: Integrity, Respect, Responsibility, Care and Compassion, Participation, and Cooperation. These values underpin the behaviors that we promote and explicitly teach to our students.
We value your feedback and hope that you and your children will enjoy your experiences at Eastern Fleurieu School. If your child is remaining at EFS, there is no need to complete the enrolment form linked in the email you received. Their information will be transferred to the 7-12 campus at the end of the year.
We are excited to announce the upcoming Subject Selection Conferences for the 2024 school year. These conferences, designed for current Year 8-11 students, provide an opportunity for students and parents to meet with school leaders and discuss subject choices. The conferences will take place on Tuesday, 22nd August and Wednesday, 23rd August from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. We recommend parking on Bosisto Lane or in the school car park, avoiding the bus lane if parking on Callington Road.
To help you prepare for the conferences, all the necessary information can be found on our website at https://easternfleurieu.schoolzineplus.com/sk-booking-guide. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to our 7-12 Leadership Team.
In addition, we are pleased to introduce our new Canteen Manager along with a new Winter Menu at our 7-12 Campus. For further information, please click on the provided links.

Reviews
"Fun and a great environment for your child's development and education"
"a very good school"
"Not a bad school"
"Really impressed with the effort the staff makes and the training for staff in this school. Very accepting of newcomers and safe for kids. Parents are able to get involved. Kids are taught life skills and how to work through struggles. I am impressed by what the school offers children and families in need. Majority of staff I have come across have all been pleasant and genuinely caring of the students."
"my kids go to e.f.s the teachers are great and my kids are doing reasonably well but the people in higher positions need to be tougher on bullying."
