Reviews of Mount Barker High School
"This school is the best high school in the Adelaide hills! I'm a student here and despite all the people who think its terrible because of the few disrespectful students, I'm here to tell you its an amazing place. All the teachers are friendly and work towards getting the best for their students, there are 5 mental health workers for all people who need help. I would recommend sending your children here for good social experiences, as well as proper education including being able to get extra help or be more challenged with your core subjects. Students here have so many opportunities to pursue whatever future career they wish."
"An absolute disgrace of a high school. The way the students here behave is terrible. Teachers don’t care either, bullying is common place. Makes me sick this school"
"If you want your children to vape, vandalise and go from innocent children to trouble markers, then this is the school for you! If your school does not join this crowd, they will be bullied relentlessly by the kids in this group. No mental health care, no bullying prevention, this school is disgusting. Just head down to the local maccas and see how they behave, the kids from mt barker trash the store, vandalise the bathrooms and vape in the dining room. This school is a disgrace to Australia"
"Absolute disgrace, considering there are mental health awareness poster plastered on every surface of the school, they make it more than clear they don't give a flying FuHk. I paid $380 to have my laptop battery replaced by the school, come to find they had quite literally sticky taped a bettery into my laptop. Not an exaggeration they literally STICKY TAPED A BATYERY INTO MY LAPTOP. I am not the only person who has been scammed, I have met numerous people who have also had computer parts sticky taped into their laptops. Beyond a joke. please check your laptop if you have had any repairs done by the I.T. department at this school. Teachers make it obvious who their favourite students are (not putting down the few good teachers who don't deserve to work at such a terrible place) Multiple times students have been selected to stand in a line infront of a crowd to be made an example of by their clothing choices. There is a fight happening on school grounds almost every week What you are wearing is a higher priority than education Oh and we can't forget how much the Vice Principal loves her power trips. (She REALLY loves it) School bathrooms are absolutely rancid, breathe the stale air too long and you'll end up with CWD Considering how 'woke' this school is there is an awful lot of discrimination from both students and teachers Can't forget the constant smell of illicit substances strung throught the school If you love your children keep them as far from this school as possible, if you child is a meth dealer then this is their home"
"Do your children a favour and don’t send them here. Look after their mental and physical health. Teachers are nothing but encouraging students to pick on others. A very uneducated environment of students who do not want to learn and teachers who will not teach. Stay clear"
