Vertikal Indoor Snow Sports

"I personally don't recommend this place for small children. I have a 3 and 6 year old I took today. We paid $75pp for their foundation class which is 30 minutes long. They didn't start our class promptly at 4pm it was a few minutes past but they promptly locked us off at 4:30 on the dot. The instructor they gave us was the youngest and it seemed least experienced. We paid $150 for him to essentially pull our kids down the carpet slope repeatedly for 20 minutes. The instructor then accidentally hit my 3 year old in the face with the ski pole that he had been pulling her down the hill with, which meant we lost 5 minutes of the class with her crying from the instructors mistake. I then had to ask him to turn the carpet on at the end so my son could get a turn of the plate actually moving and then right at 4:30 where they promptly told us our time was up. Someone I assumed to be a supervisor of some sort asked us how our time was and I told her the instructor hit our kid in the face and nothing was done. The instructor did apologize a lot and I know it was a genuine accident. But when I paid $150 for 30mins of instruction, and from the lack of variation of activity and losing atleast 8 minutes of it due to them starting late and then the accident I would not recommend this for small children"

"I took four kids for an intro lesson to introduce them to skis and boots before a snow holiday. (Better to freak out and refuse to participate now than later). The instructor was patient and interested, and I was really impressed with the attention to safety. All four kids participated enthusiastically with his support (across two classes, maximum three per class). The setup is really nice, too, and I love that they were pet friendly so our puppy could stay inside with us while we watched. The skiing is clearly a tightly-run ship and they were super responsive to email contact and questions. It’s not a cheap activity for kids (you wouldn’t expect it to be!) but you won’t be disappointed in the experience!"

"Had pizzas at Vertikal last night before show at Mill Theatre. Pizzas delicious, first rate, and service quick, in good time for the show. Highly recommended."

"Thanks to Charlotte and the team at Vertikal for hosting a fun birthday party. Pizzas were amazing. I highly recommend the pumpkin and Gorgonzola. The kids enjoyed the boarding lesson, everyone played some pool and darts. A great time was had by all. The fireplace and couches make a nice cozy place to sit and chat."
