There is an initial booking fee deposit which may be forfeited if the apt is not maintained. In my opinion - this is a reasonable assurance for any business that apts will be honoured, so that staff salaries and other costs can be continued to be met. It’s not uncommon now for restaurants to operate on the same system. I’m sure if your income was reliant on clients keeping to scheduled intentions, when apts could have been given to other paying clients on a wait list - you would also seek assurance by way of a deposit."
