About the Business
Welcome to Treehouse in the Park Early Learning Centre, located at 57 Ormond Street, Turner, Australia. As an establishment and point of interest, our center is committed to providing a unique and enriching learning experience for children.
At Treehouse in the Park, we believe in the power of the outdoors and its ability to foster a deep connection with the natural world. Through exploration and play, we encourage children to engage with their environment and develop a love for nature. Our outdoor spaces are carefully designed to promote physical activity, imaginative play, and a sense of wonder.
One of the core values at Treehouse is our culture of Risky Play. We understand the importance of allowing children to take risks and challenge themselves in a safe and supportive environment. This approach not only builds resilience but also nurtures a child's agency and positive sense of self.
Our program is designed to cater to the unique interests and needs of each child. We believe in the power of play as a pedagogy, allowing children to learn and grow through hands-on experiences. In addition, we prioritize the emotional and social development of the whole child, incorporating trauma-informed practices and the Conscious Discipline framework.
At Treehouse, we embrace an inquiry-based approach to teaching and learning. By fostering curiosity, creativity, and collaboration, we aim to develop lifelong learners who are eager to explore and discover. Our dedicated educators provide guidance and support, encouraging children to ask questions, make connections, and think critically.
Enrolling your child at Treehouse is a seamless process, thanks to our dedicated Enrolments Team. They are ready to assist you in navigating the enrollment process and answer any questions you may have.
As a member of the Northside Community Service, we recognize and acknowledge the traditional owners of the land, the Ngunnawal people, and their ongoing connection to the land and community. We also pay our respects to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples who have chosen to make Ngunnawal land their home. We honor their culture, ancestors, and Elders, both past and present.
Join us at Treehouse in the Park Early Learning Centre, where your child's growth, development, and connection to the natural world are at the heart of everything we do.

"We felt welcomed immediately upon turning up to Treehouse, shortly after arriving back in Canberra, six years ago. Since then, our sons have been loved and nurtured by the staff who have been key to them becoming the confident, happy and inquiring young people they are; ready for school and the next stages of their lives. We have particularly enjoyed the child-led activities, the opportunities for our children to express their voices and to engage with risk. The commitment of the educators has been exceptional."
"Treehouse is a wonderful centre with a warm and welcoming feel. The amazing, caring educators identify each individual child’s needs and nurture and support them in their development. Our daughter is very happy there, and it makes our work lives so much easier to know that she is spending her time away from us somewhere that she loves!"
"Our family has been with Treehouse for 3 years now. It's a fantastic environment - the teachers are supportive and communicate well; the children are actively involved in coming up with ideas to improve or broaden their experience at the centre; the centre has a strong ethos of continuing improvement and the teachers have often spent weekends at courses to expand their knowledge. They also reach out to families regularly to explain their approach and get feedback. The centre has a lovely outdoor environment for the kids, and the teachers go to great efforts to ensure the kids are outside as much as they want to be. The centre is very supportive of the children and the teachers are genuine in their warmth and care about the children who are there. They think carefully about the environment they create and the way they can teach and engage with the children. They've taught us a lot and I'll be very sad when our time at Treehouse ends!"
"We have been part of Treehouse for 7 years now and couldn't be happier with the care, professionalism, skill and amazing carers. When my oldest two started preschool, it was evident that they had learnt so much from their early years at Treehouse. The staff know every child's name, there are activities and experiences across the centre which engage all ages and there is a beautiful sense of community. Our family feels incredibly lucky to have found Treehouse."
"We believe that we've found the best early childhood learning centre in Canberra! Our child has been there since she was around 7 months old and has formed a deep and abiding connection with the staff and other children at Treehouse. We feel very comfortable leaving our child knowing that she is safe and nurtured by the friendly staff. The setting is delightful, and the grounds are constantly changing and evolving to incorporate the changing needs of the children. The philosophy that underpins the work of the educators is sound and we love the deep connection that the children and educators have with nature. We have recommended Treehouse to all our friends and travel 60km a day just so our child can go there."
