Reviews of Farmers Daughter
"The service is very good and the atmosphere is relaxed. Staff is courteous and respectful. Telstra reception inside the building is patchy, so if you need good Internet forget about it Food is under par. It’s like I’m going to a cafe 20 years ago, quality is on the cheap side and dishes are unimaginative Coffee is decent and so is the price You get what you pay for I guess"
"We used to love this place. Sadly, it’s taken a turn for the worse. We had an awful lunch there last week. The quality of the food was so poor. The service, however, was great. On seeing we didn’t enjoy our food, we were offered free coffees. I just don’t think we will hurry back there."
"One of our favourite cafés for post-rowing brekkies and general brunch/lunch outings. The food is delicious, coffee is normally on point, and staff are great! I recommend this place to everyone I know. Popular with locals and visitors alike for all the right reasons."
"Wait staff served scolding hot liquid right in front of our baby in her high chair and she grabbed at it, spilling it and scolding her hands. The milk was meant for the porridge one of the adults was eating but was placed right in front of the baby. We raised the issue with one of the senior female staff suggesting that hot liquids shouldn’t be placed in front of babies. The only thing this staff member kept saying was that the waitress that had served us was very young. There was no concern shown about the incident. She didn’t ask if our baby was ok, or offer to get us cold water or iced cold water to put on her red, scolded hands. Nothing. She just kept making an excuse about the wait staff’s age as though that made it ok. I would suggest the age of the staff has nothing to do with it. Better training for your staff is the issue if they don’t know not to put scolding hot liquid in front of kids. And if there is not enough room on the table then don’t put it down. Such poor handling of the incident by senior staff member. Would not recommend to anyone with kids."
"No wonder few locals go to this cafe. The holy grail of a terrible cafe - over priced, the service is terrible (specifically the woman that works there) and the quality is poor. It’s also intriguing that they’re using “Fuel” cups, which looks to be another interesting, unsurprising chapter in the story of these owners. Better off going to the cafe around the corner."
