"First time having dinner here, it was our anniversary and we were very happy with our experience! Tom was our waiter and he was very knowledgeable and helpful with food and beverages and made our overall experience enjoyable! Food and drinks came out very prompt and was tasteful. Thanks Tom and Stanley bridge tavern staff!"
"We've been here several times and it's always terrific. Celebrating our son's birthday this time. Lovely atmosphere, we were lucky to get near the fire on a really wet and cold night."
"A gem of a place that elevates classic pub/tavern food into something special We came here off the recommendation of a local, entered impressed and left full This place elevates classic courses into something extra without compromising on flavour We passed here several times and they’re always busy - rightfully so If you pass this place, particularly on a cold winters day, come in and try some great tasting food. Hidden gem"
"We had no complaints about the food. Table of 6 all had different choices and all very happy. It's a lovely setting & decor. The staff are wonderful. Attentive but not intrusive. Friendly, polite - all of that. Yes, there is a but coming. My but is the noise. If you are wanting to converse with your table you end up having to shout. Then you can't hear the reply. There may be times it's less busy, but Friday night was full. I know venues can do things with soft furnishings for example that absorb some of the noise. Overall though it was very good, just noisy."
"Had lunch here for the first time, love the grounds and the lovely dry river bed and caravan bar. Meals were nice, the hot x bun bread and butter dessert could have done with some pouring cream or an additional scoop of ice cream."
